Quick delivery and lovely little train! Works perfectly even managing to go up a slope pulling wagons! Very pleased.

Ideal for my 2 year old grandson. He can switch it on and off, reverse and forwards, and put it on the track. He enjoys adding trucks. We have found it can pull quite a few. It is robust enough to withstand his handling. It runs well on a smooth kitchen floor as well as the track and goes just fast enough so he can enjoy watching it. It does eat up the batteries, especially if it runs into a corner somewhere and you don’t notice for a while!

This a great little engine and my daughter loves the way the cement mixer barrel turns and the coal wagon's hopper swings from side to side as it moves. This is a speedy little train compared to the other brio battery trains we have BRIO 33214 Freight Battery Engine . Also what sets it apart from other battery engines is that when the battery dies it slows down a little then stops completely. Our other engines with try and soldier on falling to get up hills etc. I reckon the battery last for a good 4 hours. Rechargeable batteries are a must I recommend these: Duracell Rechargeable Accu HR03 950 mAh AAA Batteries--4-Pack .

My grandson loves this train, played with it all christmas day. Only downside was battery life. We bought durcell batteries and by the end of christmas day we was on battery number 4. I would recommend buying rechargeable

My 2 and a half year old loves this battery operated train engine. Lots of fun to attach other carriages that he had from other sets on to it. It's especially good that it goes in reverse too. Can climb up a bridge in the forward motion. The only downside is the battery goes flat relatively quickly. All in all - brilliant purchase.

Grandson was really pleased with this. Not the fastest though but really nice!

This is a lovely toy. It is made of plastic but very attractive and fits well on a wooden train track. The mixer spins round and "mixes" as it travels along, and the coal truck swings from side to side. The headlight on the front of the engine lights up and it chugs along on its own, pulling the others, and looks fantastic going along. My only complaint, and it is rather a big problem, is that the on/off switch is on top of the engine and switches to three different points, all very close to each other, so it is extremely fiddly for a young child to turn it off. Not only is it difficult to turn off, but unless you do turn it off, the wheels continue to turn (even if it's lying on its side or in a box) until the batteries run out. Despite my reminding my young children to turn it off, they can't remember to because they're busy playing and so we have got through many batteries, the last of which leaked all over the inside of the engine and corroded, so it now doesn't work. We are happy playing with it in the normal non-mechanical way, pushing it along the track and sticking more carriages on, but to me a far better design for a children's toy would be one that turns itself off after a couple of minutes of not being played with.

I love the primary colours of this train set. The cement mixer actually rotates n the coal cart swivels. Make it quite animated when in motion. There’s a subtle front light of the locomotive best appreciated in a dim room. A good quality product by visual n feel. One of my fv purchase from Brio range.

Mi niño lleva jugando un par de meses con el trenecito y le encanta, es de un material resistente, con un diseño original, ya que giran los vagoncitos al andar. Se ha golpeado mucho y siguen tal cual, son muy fuertes. Anda más rápido que otra locomotora que compré y la batería le dura un poco más. Carga más vagoncintos que la otra y sube cuestas. Está genial. Lo único que no me gusta es que la pila se gasta en uno o dos días si lo juega un par de horas. Le pongo recargables, pero lo ideal sería que venga con cargador opcional.
