## Features - The Humane Solution - OWLTRA is the humane solution for getting rid of large populations of rodents, as 4 D batteries are enough to exterminate 60 rats efficiently. A bigger size makes it suitable for both mice and rats. If you don’t have batteries at hand, you can also choose to use USB cord as power source. - Outdoor Usage with Waterproof Grade IPX4 - OWLTRA OW-7 In-/Outdoor Electric Rodent Trap can be used outdoors when using together with the waterproof cover that comes with the product. Rodent entrance at the side ensures zero rodent escape and a quick elimination. CAUTION: The product MUST be used together with semi-transparent waterproof cover when being used outside. Place the trap on a clean dry surface and do not immerse the product in water. - Two Ways of Powering - You can use either 4 D batteries or USB cord as power source for the trap. When using USB as power source, please use power adapter or power bank DC 5V with current 1A or above. NOTE: Batteries are not included. If you choose to use USB cord, the cord must be connected to the product when in use (It does not charge the product in advance). With fully charged batteries this product can kill approximately 60 rodents. - Sound & Light Alarm - Together with the conventional LED alarm, a set of sound alarms are also added to remind you to clean up after the trap kills the rodent. - Convenient Bait Area - Lure rodents in by placing bait at the bait area of the trap. Simply lift open the bait door and use a toothpick or cotton swab to apply bait on the trap's floor, opposite of the entrance. Baits high in protein, such as peanut butter, are recommended. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BKLJQC4D | | Brand | OWLTRA | | Brand Name | OWLTRA | | Color | Black | | Colour | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 1,965 Reviews | | Is Electric | Yes | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 30.6L x 11W x 12.5H centimeters | | Item Type Name | In-/Outdoor Electric Rodent Trap with Waterproof Cover, Sound & Light Alarm, and Batteries or USB Power Source, Waterproof Grade | | Item Weight | 1.05 kg | | Item weight | 1.05 kg | | Manufacturer | OWLTRA | | Manufacturer Part Number | OW-7 | | Material | Plastic Iron | | Material Type | Plastic Iron | | Model Number | ERZ-50 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Product dimensions | 30.6L x 11W x 12.5H centimeters | | Recommended Uses For Product | water | | Style | In-/Outdoor Electric Rodent Trap | | Style Name | In-/Outdoor Electric Rodent Trap | | Target Species | Mouse, Rat | | UPC | 810105180299 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** OWLTRA - **Colour:** Black - **Material:** Plastic Iron - **Product dimensions:** 30.6L x 11W x 12.5H centimeters - **Style:** Outdoor/Indoor Electric Rodent Trap ## Images ![OW-7 in-/Outdoor Electric Rodent Trap, Instant Kill Mouse & Rat Zapper with Waterproof Cover, Sound & Light Alarm, and Batteries or USB Power Source, Waterproof Grade IPX4, Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51lhLos2v4L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does this work for mice too?** A: Yes, it is effective for mice. **Q: Has this trap been reviewed on Mouse Trap Mondays?** A: As of 30 oct, 2020 Mousetrap Monday has reviewed only the smaller version for mice. He did say he would review the rat trap later. **Q: Which way is it turned on?? i can't tell. one direction causes a green light for a second and the other way does nothing.** A: Slide the switch toward the opening where the mouse goes in and that's off. When you slide the switch away the opening the green light comes on to tell you that the batteries are good. The green light then goes out and it's ready to cook the mice. After there is a dead mouse inside the trap, the light will flash red every 10-20 seconds to tell you that the trap has been tripped. Slide the switch toward the opening and then open the trap and dispose of the mouse. **Q: Can you use it outside??** A: First off, yes, Mousetrap Monday has reviewed the rat version a year after the mouse one and likes it! - I've used that other trap with the purplish color and blue side labels. It's caught voles (who do come out at night and run along the house wall). When there was rain or a chance it would seep under the porch, I've just placed that other trap on some wood to get it off the concrete and out of reach of water. What I DON'T Like about that trap is that it's very difficult to bait as there is no "door" or easy way to access from the back on the bait side and you have to push through the peanut butter on the end of a 10 inch stick or attempt to drip it into the trap at an angle to get it to the final electrical pad that the rodent has to lick in order to set off the electricity. As time has gone by, that end of the trap is turning nasty as you have to roll a cloth or papertowel onto the end of a stick like a giant Q-Tip to wipe that end of the trap out. This one looks better designed and easy to use and clean out. Shawn suggests that you make sure you buy from the original OWLTRA company store as there are copy-cat listings for this trap. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cumple su función! *by D***D on 11 November 2025* Muy sorprendido con el funcionamiento.
