Review: OOOooo it lights up! - Recently I seem to have gained a RSI in my wrist and it spread to my elbow, so some movements would make me wince. I also had to modify my workouts at personal training, but my PT suggested wrist exercises and mentioned the Powerball. I had seen the Powerball about 10 years ago, it was the one with the cord to wind it up, that seemed fiddly, but was fun to use. I checked it out on desertcart and found a few at various prices. I've learned the hard way that really cheap usually means a copy/knockoff, so I looked into the options. I found the original Powerball, checked out the bad reviews - I always do this as it gives me an idea about the product, the quality and the seller. I also know to take some reviews with a pinch of salt (there's just no pleasing some people, some are serial complainers, some never bother to give the seller a chance to rectify, some seller couldn't care, etc, etc). I didn't see a pattern to give me any worries about making this purchase, and I was pleasantly surprised the seller took time to respond to each individual issue and ask for the chance to sort it (I could feel their passion for their product and can see their reputation clearly means a lot to them). So based on this I made my purchase. So what do I like? It was well packaged, it felt like a quality product, the instructions were easy to follow, it's intuitive to use and you know when it's spinning properly, oh and it lights up :D (bonus - I like pretty sparkly things!!) So what don't I like/could be better? I found the arrows to tell you which direction to wind it up a little difficult to see (I used a pen to draw round the arrow to make it more visible), I don't seem to have got the hang of being able to read the stats/display, as it is still rotating when I'm trying to see the stats, then it stops and no longer visible once it stops. Not really an issue for me, but thought I'd mention it. I'm sure I'll get there! Anyway, I've only been using the Powerball a short while, it's hard to say how much it's helped, but the discomfort in my wrist does seem to be reducing. (I have also bought a vertical ergonomic mouse and wrist rest mouse pad, as well as some additional stretching exercises for my wrist - I spend a lot of time on the laptop!) I enjoy using the Powerball, it's a challenge to keep it spinning and getting it to spin faster. Hardly put it down lol.. Dont over do it to begin with or u might end up with your nerves twitching for hours like I experienced, but dont let that put you off .. highly recommend this to anyone , no need to spin fast just take your time go at your own pace.. You definitely feel the burn in the forearm and eventually you ache in the shoulder but nothing in life comes easy , if it did wheres the fun in that ?.. Try it and if you dont like it give it to your other hand Haha... Honestly you'll love this one that lights up the faster you go.. it fights against you creating resistance .. Brings back strength in your arms and makes your heart pump , excellent wee exercise tool ..Loads of fun, compete with friends lol.. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ OOOooo it lights up! *by W***Y on 19 October 2019* Recently I seem to have gained a RSI in my wrist and it spread to my elbow, so some movements would make me wince. I also had to modify my workouts at personal training, but my PT suggested wrist exercises and mentioned the Powerball. I had seen the Powerball about 10 years ago, it was the one with the cord to wind it up, that seemed fiddly, but was fun to use. I checked it out on Amazon and found a few at various prices. I've learned the hard way that really cheap usually means a copy/knockoff, so I looked into the options. I found the original Powerball, checked out the bad reviews - I always do this as it gives me an idea about the product, the quality and the seller. I also know to take some reviews with a pinch of salt (there's just no pleasing some people, some are serial complainers, some never bother to give the seller a chance to rectify, some seller couldn't care, etc, etc). I didn't see a pattern to give me any worries about making this purchase, and I was pleasantly surprised the seller took time to respond to each individual issue and ask for the chance to sort it (I could feel their passion for their product and can see their reputation clearly means a lot to them). So based on this I made my purchase. So what do I like? It was well packaged, it felt like a quality product, the instructions were easy to follow, it's intuitive to use and you know when it's spinning properly, oh and it lights up :D (bonus - I like pretty sparkly things!!) So what don't I like/could be better? I found the arrows to tell you which direction to wind it up a little difficult to see (I used a pen to draw round the arrow to make it more visible), I don't seem to have got the hang of being able to read the stats/display, as it is still rotating when I'm trying to see the stats, then it stops and no longer visible once it stops. Not really an issue for me, but thought I'd mention it. I'm sure I'll get there! Anyway, I've only been using the Powerball a short while, it's hard to say how much it's helped, but the discomfort in my wrist does seem to be reducing. (I have also bought a vertical ergonomic mouse and wrist rest mouse pad, as well as some additional stretching exercises for my wrist - I spend a lot of time on the laptop!) I enjoy using the Powerball, it's a challenge to keep it spinning and getting it to spin faster. I'll definitely keep using the Powerball even after the RSI has improved. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good build quality and easier to use than previous models. *by B***E on 9 August 2019* Good build quality and easy to use. However I dislike the fact the LCD panel doesn’t hold its charge when the rotor stop spinning. This isn’t generally a problem, just a dislike. It works your forearms, but don’t expect to build any muscle size using this. It will just improve your forearms overall health and stamina. I’ve had the string start version before, which is annoying to startup, and thus I just stopped using it. It is a bit of a novelty item unless you are using it for rehab.
