The grey coverage isn’t bad, I do find the bits around the face are tricky (with all home dye kits) so on my second use of this I started with the area around my face and ears, so they would have longer with the dye. The longevity seems on par with what you crepe the from hair dye. I didn’t find the dye faded fast, my problem is my hair grows so fast the grey roots start to show through. I needed to colour my hair again at the 4 to 5 week mark, same as when I visit the salon and that is only because of the root growth, not colour fading. The instructions do imply that your head will be covered in foam but I didn’t find this. When I squeezed the bottle, I did get foam in my hand but when you apply it, it loses the foam consistency. I only mention this because what I was seeing in the mirror wasn’t what I was expecting based on the instructions. The scent was fine, I like the scent, it reminds me of a salon. Based on reviews, it’s clear some love it and some hate it. Both are explosive, you can't put this in the hold or carry on luggage. I have checked this with the airlines as l wanted to take this hair dye to Spain. **Q: Is this product suitable for vegans (not tested on animals and containing no animal products?) From the lack of response I'm guessing not!** A: All John Frieda products are in compliance with the EU regulations on the ban on animal testing for cosmetics products and ingredients, and our Precision Foam Colour does not contain any ingredients of animal origin. **Q: does this dry your hair out and will it take on naturally dark brown /black roots** A: I find this the best colour I've ever had..doesn't dry out my hair at all.
