WS 9130 - classic Weatherstation with forecast of weather situation and tendency

This replaces a Silvercrest as it finally gave up the ghost after years of faithful service. I'd lasted 3 months without it and decided a replacement was needed. It (this weather station) is virtually idiot proof to set up and was up and running in less than 10 minutes of coming out of the box. The indoor out outdoor temperature settings were displayed almost immediately. I've always liked to know what to expect outside before venturing forth. Unlike the Silveline it does not have a humidity reading or date but those were not really necessary anyway. Whilst only having three weather predictions (sunny, cloudy with a bit of sun and rain) it is considered more than adequate, for me anyway as you are also provided with arrows informing you of what is likely to come. In any event it cannot be any worse than the BBC weather forecasting can it? I note that at least one reviewer thought a snow/ice display would be useful, but to me if it is less than approx 3deg C it is pretty obvious anyway. The jury is still out on why you need to know the ongoing maximum/minimum temperatures (both indoors and out) though. Answers on a postcard..... Probably me being pedantic but a 12hr clock facility would have been nice but as they say you can never have it all. The readings/display are far bigger though which more than makes up for these 'shortcomings'. Bit of a tip if you live in the UK - set the clock for -1. All in all very pleased and if it lasts as long as the outgoing one did it will prove to be excellent value, we'll see?

I wanted a simple digital thermometer with a large, clear display and this product fits the bill nicely. If you want a lot of features you might want to look elsewhere as this unit will only give you internal and external current temperatures and the maximum and minimum temperatures reached since the last time you pressed the reset button, along with a visual graphic of the upcoming forecast. I have largely ignored the forecast section as I don't trust in its accuracy but the thermometers seem to be accurate and the outdoor sensor pairs quickly and seamlessly with the base unit. The outdoor sensor is wall mountable and the fittings are supplied. The base unit has a stand or can also be wall-mounted of you want it at eye level. In all it is a great little product and is now something I refer to every day. If, like me, you just want to know the temperature and max/min temperatures then you will be pleased with this product.

Just bought two of these; one for home and one for the boat. Simple to set up and it gives clear values for temperature inside and out with max/min values. The promise of 12 months use on AAA batteries needs verification but so far very pleased. Will the remote sensor stand the test of time? Review: The battery life on the main unit on one of the two purchases lasts only 3 weeks. The other one purchased has done six months. So something not right. I'll try switching off the German radio signal. One unit gets 5 stars but the other only 3.

This is rubbish. Worked for four weeks , then went wonky. I fitted new batteries but same thing happened. I removed batteries then reinserted them and reset the unit. It only worked for two days. It kept stopping at 12 34 and stopped recording anything. This is a very poor weather station so I returned it to Amazon and I'm waiting for my refund. I only gave it one star as there is no minus stars.

Would have been 5 stars due to the clarity of the display and simplicity of the whole thing but... The radio controlled clock talks to Germany! Meaning that the time while accurate to the second is out by an hour! This is sold in the UK, surely it should synchronise to UK time? The only way to change that to UK time is to set it manually and turn off the auto update feature. Not an ideal solution. There is another slight annoyance as well in the fact that the Max/ Min temp display only shows in whole degrees, in itself that's not an issue, I can see that from the product image. The issue is that whoever programmed it has no knowledge of maths whatsoever. When working in decimal places .5 and over should be rounded up and .4 and below should be rounded down. With this device anything over .0 is rounded up and .9 is rounded down (e.g. 11.1 is recorded as 12 and 10.9 would be recorded as 10) I know I'm being OCD about it which is why I've called it a slight annoyance. It's close to being an excellent product but not quite there.

My old weather station lasted for over 10 years and I was lost when it gave up the ghost on me. I looked for a similar one, but weather stations have progressed so much over the years. I just wanted one with simple information, easy to read and one that was able to be reset. Ordered it on behalf of my parents as a gift for me for Christmas, as they don't have access to the internet. It does exactly what it said in the description, was simple to set up (took approximately 30 seconds to pick up the information) and gives me all the information I need. I live out in the country and the temperature is always much lower than what they say it is going to be on the weather forecast. I wonder if it will last for the same length of time as my old one? So far, it is proving to be good value for money.

Uwaga !!! Produkt nie jest zgodny z opisem posiada inne parametry transmisji 433 MHz zamiast 868 MHz , inny jest również czujnik temperatury niż na zdjęciu.
