Good
I usually play with traditional vandoren but since I had a front tooth snap off completely at the gum line, and a denture plate installed, I have struggled to play at all. The 2.5 was too soft and I choked the notes, but the 3.0 was too hard and I couldn't get some of the notes. One difficulty is that I can't tell how much presure is on the fake tooth so the reed sits differently on my lip. So I experimented with the v12's as those are meant to be a little softer than the 3.0. I also bought these Royal reeds 3.0 because of a comparison chart which likened them to half way between what a vandoren 2.5 and 3.0 offers. The V12's were good but I still found they didn't vibrate well still. Ideally the whole reed should vibrate. I took one of the Royals out of its casing and noticed some loose fibres of the cain hanging on the side near the heart area. I carefully resolved that and placed it on my instrument after wetting. Wow! So easy to make a sound with it. I didn't feel the tonal darkness I usually have was quite there but the sound produced was still very nice. Some notes ai have always thought sounded poor for me or struggled to make sound as professional in quality, sounded really good. I found I could bend the notes so easily too. That is not something I have ever been able to do well at all. I would agree that the 3.0 is half way between a vandoren traditional 2.5 and 3.0. The mouthpiece I tested on was the one whoch came with my new Buffet E12RL. I had been playing on a series 88 profile vandoren mouthpiece before the tooth accident/injury but my embrasure has changed and I can't get on with that one now. But keep in mind that these reeds will respond differently with different facing and profile mouthpieces.

Accurate and easy to play
Some reeds are difficult to play: all makes are different. I find these match well with my wooden clarinet.

Love this brand
Not too expensive. Love this strength on my clarinet. Good for adult players. Not sure the strength is good for children players. Easy to use. And handy not having to travel to music store. I love this strength for myself. Perfect sound.

Getting a bit fed-up!
Nothing to say about the reeds themselves, the brand performs well on both, my clarinets and saxophone, always has, so I'm happy with the quality. I've been playing with 2's for a long time and whilst it may seem like a minor issue, sending me 1.5's isn't any good to me and things like this matter. Reliability is important when ordering specific items and to be honest, I'm starting to doubt the level of service I'm receiving.

Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Great reeds, not a single dud in the pack...
I've used mostly Rico reeds for the last 20+ years, and it's pretty rare that I get a reed I'm not happy with. I've experimented with other kinds, but I really like the consistency you get with Rico. The 3.0 reeds are probably my favorite for general play, but I usually keep some softer and firmer ones around for different purposes. I also like that Rico is owned by D'Addario, which has a nonprofit foundation dedicated to supporting music education, especially in areas that might not otherwise be able to fund programs. It's probably a tiny amount of money compared to overall corporate profits, but it's still nice that they do it and I'm sure the musicians who benefit appreciate the help.

Our Go To Reeds
My daughter is in marching band and at the beginning of every season we purchased a box of these reeds. She likes the quality of them in her clarinet. They’re durable and it’s a good price for what you get.
