The best guitar strings
These are the only strings my son uses ... He swears by them ... They are the best

No good for Chords. Great for lead.
Previously I had Daddario EJ15's on my guitar. I play a mix of acoustic and blues type lead. As soon as I had these tuned up, I immediately regretted putting them on. I played a couple of chords and it sounded like a whole chunk of tone was missing, a bit like trying to listen to Drum n Bass through pocket speakers. Then I played a few lines of lead, and damn they are good. Feels like playing an electric. Playing notes around 12 fret upwards on the high E string produces a great tone, a lot warmer (if not quieter) than the other strings. They are super easy to bend and the sound and feel of individual strings is great. Chords still sound awefull though! But since these are blues string designed to be thin for the style of play, you kinda would expect that. My advice is buy these if you play a lot more lead/blues style. If you play a lot of chords, these just won't do unless you have a second acoustic you can keep these on. Over all, the definitely do the job they are designed for.

3rd G is unwound which affects sound
Great sound very fresh and vibrant i was supprised to see a 3rd g unwound as it was the first set of 10s i tried so noticed the tonal difference right away i did have to change that string for a 18 wound which is fine for now other than that great sound good quality well packaged and delivered on time recommend these strings for beginers and people with softer finger tips if you can handle a higher gage string i will be trying 11s next string change for the reason mentioned the unwound G . 4 out of 5 and expect them to match the D'Addario i use on my other guitar

BRILLIANT!
Fantastic strings, easy to play and easy to tune. String bending and tapping also sounds brilliant with them. The G string is unwound, allowing additional flexibility and bluesier tone overall. BUT... be VERY cautious when putting them on. Wind the strings SLOWLY. I ended up having to buy two packs because I was a bit over-zealous and wound the top E string too quickly and it snapped straight away. That's all though. Great for acoustic rock; blues; slide and lead licks. Bonamassa and Trout better watch their backs, I'm coming for you now! :D

Rock & Blues Guage Review
As someone that prefers playing electric guitar and dislikes the limitations of an acoustic guitar, the Rock and Blues strings are a nice compromise. The high strings are very light for extremely easy to bend and the bass strings are Medium/Heavy for meaty power chords. I'd go as far to say that bending with these strings is as easy as it is on a strat, which is is saying something. The only downside is that chords don't have that sparkle and twang which you'd normally associate with an acoustic so if you're into playing traditional acoustic guitar songs then avoid these at all cost. They also have less volume and sound noticeably thinner overall. In summary, if you're into soloing or playing licks and want to practice on your acoustic as opposed to your electric, give these a whirl, they're extremely nice to play. If, however, you prefer the traditional sound of an acoustic and play a lot of chords then you might want to consider the light or medium gauges, or higher. I'll get the extra light/light strings next time and see which one fits the perfect middle ground. Hope this helps with making your decision.

Just ok
I prefer daddario. These will last less time, not coated, not very good sound. Average strings.

Great set of accustic strings
These strings are great nice ballance of lows and highs and they come with a steel G string in my opinion this makes it more versatile

Je ne recommande pas. La corde 1, la plus fine, a lâché au premier accordage après la pose... si j'avais su...

Stay away from the 2006 extra light & get these 2008 rock & blues instead.
I got the 2006 extra light strings 1st. The G string is coiled or wrapped. The coil frayed & had nicks in it almost right away. I decided to get the 2008 rock & blues strings for my other acoustic guitar to give them a try. Soo much better & the G string is not coiled. I ordered a 2nd set yesterday & got them today with free shipping. I replaced the 2006 strings for these 2008 strings. Big difference, they are softer & sound & play way more better.😉 Do yourself a favor & stay away from the extra light ones & get these 2008 rock & blues instead. My uncle has been playing for yrs & told me these are the only ones he buys. They are much brighter as well.

An Awesome String Set
I've been using Ernie Ball's Earthwood Rock N Blues Strings for over a year as of the time of writing this review. I'll get straight to the point - > Absolutely great for the price. Ernie Ball's never disappoint. > The G string does sometimes tend to lose it's tuning faster than other strings. But any good guitarist knows to tune their guitar before playing, everytime. So it should be fine for most players. > These strings are made for rock and blues playing, so string bending, vibrato, etc. are a breeze, but at the same time, the tone isn't the same as what folk/country/most pop songs may sound like. So if you're not a blues & rock person, this may not be the tone you're looking for. > If you're a beginner, you can definitely try these strings. Barring chords might be slightly easier. And you might fall in love with the Blues.
