I want to use it on a boat, does it have a metal core or is it all rubber?

Hi.I understood it was all rubber.The edge is tough,the inner seal excellent.I used it on the proud metal ridge between cockpit and main body of my motorhome.Hope this helps.Debbie

Would this be any good for fitting onto the cut edge of some j-channel raceway for cable management? just so the rough end is protected?

Not sure what J-Channel is? But yes, it can be used for edge protection. Just check the material thickness before purchasing to ensure it will fit correctly.

Is it high temperature resistant?

Hi EPDM Rubber Copes with -50°C to 130°C, at lower temp's it becomes hard and brittle, very soft at high end temp's.. Also not recommended for long periods. If you are looking for high temp' then you need to be looking at Silicone Seals something like our White Silicone Seal High Temp - Platinum Cured Silicone 10mm x 5mm - Temp' rating 100°F to 450°F.
