Vandoren Traditional Bb clarinet reeds, box of 10 - Strength 2,5

Great, do the job

Came well packaged and secure, replacement for broken reeds.

There is a debate to be had over what reeds provide the best sound but at the end of the day it is a highly personable opinion and entirely down to taste.Any given box of reeds will contain differences due to the very nature of the product. I have found Vandoren reeds to be the most consistent. I have always used them and probably always will, they work well for my classical/pit orchestra work so why change. These do the trick just fine and are cheaper than getting them from local music/bookshops... It's a sad fact but a sign of the modern times. I had to get my Baritone sax repaired and was shocked to discover that the repair charge was cheaper than a box of reeds!

Is it my imagination or have vandoren traditional reeds gradually become harder over the years? Is this a marketing ploy to get people to buy the slightly softer equivalent strength but more expensive types of other reeds they produce? Traditional reeds now seem thicker and less 'shaped' in the shoulder area of the reed than they used to be years ago. Could this be making the difference?

I still find Vandoren reeds to be the best quality that I have tried over the last 30 years.Keep them in the protective plastic holder they come in when transporting your clarinet in its case.Take them off and let them dry out somewhere safe once you finish playing.Keep the protective cap on the clarinet when you put it on its stand.Look after them and they will last longer.

Arrived promptly. Packaging was perfect and all reeds individually wrapped. Have only started on one reed (of course) which is fine. Vandoren are reliable reeds. Although given this 5* for beginners 2.5 may well be too hard for them. It does also depend on the mouthpiece you use.

Très bonne produit pour débutant, même pour les enfants. On arrive à produire des très beaux sons, pendant le 1er cours, par les enfants qui n'ont jamais joué la clarinette.Les anches eux même sont toujours très uniformes et vibrent bien.à recommander.

Llegó en buen tiempo, muy protegido, vienen completas, es la segunda vez que lo pido y las dos veces muy bien. La calidad es muy buena ayuda a alcanzar mucho mejor las notas altas
