Product description Red Maca Powder from Indigo Herbs is certified as organic by the Organic Food Federation. It is made from the finest Red Lepidium mayenii, Maca root from South America. Our Organic Red Maca powder can be taken daily and is a nutrient rich food supplement providing a rich source of minerals.Suggested Use:Red Maca powder can be taken with hot or cold water, be mixed with fruit juice or fruit smoothies, sprinkled on cereal or added to a whole range of foods. Red Maca is a root vegetable that looks a bit like a turnip and it is put into soups, cakes, breads and drinks in Peru. Serving: 1-3 teaspoons a day. Teaspoon Weight: 1 teaspoon equals 3 grams (1 tsp = 3g).Quality & Manufacture:After the Maca root has been carefully harvested by hand, it is left to dry for a period of 10-15 days until it is completely dry, then transported to a processing plant. Here the Maca tubas go through stringent checks and selections where only the best examples are washed and prepared to be cut into 10mm pieces. These segments are then dehydrated at 45 deg C until they are ready for milling. During milling the raw Maca material is reduced to a particle size of 0.251 mm through a 60 mesh specification into a very fine powder. Not sure how to rate this as it comes as expected. The delivery was quick and the pack will last for a few months. It had a funny taste in smoothies, maybe this is normal for red maca, this is the first time I try this.

Personally, it has had no effects, no benefits on me. I have had just one 500 g bag, have not continued after that.Tthe powder is very difficult to mix in liquids, and is definitely not tasty.
