Do NOT immerse the fryer in water. It does work this way and we have had some use from our fryer. All in all, it is not bad but I do think it could have been designed better. The separate handle for the basket can be a little awkward. **Q: How do i affix the handle to the basket** A: I gave up, as it was more dangerous falling off with hot food in it when I tried to turn food out. the handle fits into the mesh if you squeeze the end and let it spring open . the trouble is when you turn the basket over it folds up dropping hot fat and food over your hand. I use tongs to lift it out or use it without the basket lifting food with a slotted spoon. Not happy with this product and its safety. **Q: Does this require filters?** A: it has a small carbon fibre filter in the lid ## Frequently Bought Together - Quest 35150 1L Deep Fat Fryer - Non-Stick Basket With Removable Handle, 900 Watt, Easy Clean - Compact Design - White - 23 cm - Deep-fat Fixer --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/48636376-quest-1l-mini-deep-fat-fryer-900w-compact-electric-fryer](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/48636376-quest-1l-mini-deep-fat-fryer-900w-compact-electric-fryer) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-21*
