Is the clip very strong? I have thin, medium length hair and would like to spin a bun and clip it. Think it would hold?

Hi Alicia, you should be okay. I have thick hair and while the clip holds when I do this type of bun, the side with the beak tends to get loose/fall out after a little while. With thinner hair I think you'd be good!

How do I use this clip?

The best way I have found is to pull your hair back like in a pony tail, twist it up to the top of your head and use the clip to secure ends and part of twist. Similar to a french roll style or a bun. Great for the gym, doing work where your hair needs to be out of the way.
