Worth it's weight in GOLD if using to stain a fence!!!!
Thank You!!! If you don't have anything like this, you REALLY should get something. Using Ready Stain of around 500' cedar fence. Used the smallest tip at vertical angle It. The fence links are around 7' high and 6' long (some a bit longer). One full tank would be able to spray 2 to 3 sections, depending on how much was put on. I did not change the flow rate dial from what it was set to, and it worked great. Never clogged once. Cleaned up very easy. The fence really looked wonderful when completed, this would be the second stain job, and it turned out a little darker but was really even. Before it was done by hand with both of us, it was pretty much me only this time. It saved the job!!. Would get this again in a heartbeat, wish i would have gotten it a lot sooner.

This is the only paint sprayer Amazon should sell.
I really appreciate thoughtful design and this product is exemplary! First, you can take off the whole spray nozzle assembly to clean it separate from the motor. It comes with many more spray, nozzles, and each is marked with its size. No fumbling w a manual to figure it out (if you can find it). Second, This sprayer has a lot of power! I have owned many sprayers; plug-in, Wagner, battery operated etc etc. and none of them spray product like this does. I had a fence to stain (solid color and lighter over dark - grey over red), and I started out with a 3.0 nozzle as per the directions. It put out way too much stain, and I gradually stepped down until I got to the 1.5. And my fence was a breeze and it covered in one coat. Done in 2 hrs. Since it does put out a lot, I had to refill the canister about every 12 Feet, but it was much easier to refill because, Third, you can detach the whole spray assembly from the motor and it makes it much easier to remove the canister to refill it. It never clogged. The last two sprayers I had clogged before I had got even 25% of my project done. If you really need battery power, I would suggest one of those portable batteries - even the ones with the solar charging. The battery powered sprayers really aren’t worth it. they go through so many batteries regardless of how new your batteries are and even with 6 batteries lined up, i had trouble getting 20 ft of fence done. I have a solar powered battery station and I use it for a lot of my tools and for the most part (except lawn tools like sting trimmer etc) it makes a lot more sense than buying battery operated tools now. Forth: it comes with many nozzles, a brush, blower, cleaning attachments and a CAP for the paint canister so you don’t have to empty it back into the can (especially if you diluted it, right?). Wow. It’s so powerful I didn’t have to dilute my stain, which is why I was able to get one code. I’m sure. But just the thought put into this product is surprising for how things are often made these days! I completely recommend this sprayer. Look at all the 5 star reviews. This is the only one Amazon should sell.

Great value and works well
1 year into my fist paint sprayer. I used it to paint the outside of my car-entry garage door last and the door's paint still looks brand new. It turned a slow and messy roller application job into an easy, no fuss no muss job. Instructions, filter and thinning tools are all easy to understand and work as intended. Be sure to mask off everything and don't spray in any wind condition over a light breeze. I do wish it came with one smaller .5MM application nozzle so we could use with fence sealants/stains. Otherwise, great product.

Very capable - Price is definitely right! GO FOR IT!!
It's nice - it's not an airless sprayer, but it'll get the job done. We painted some very detailed urethane crown moulding and because of the thinning requirement for the paint, we had some running issues. Urethane doesn't absorb the paint like wood - so I should've done multiple super light coats to combat this issue. Lesson learned - but it worked great - the cleanup is easy - I highly recommend it (depending on the job at hand)

Great value, love the performance.
Love it! Can't beat the price. I was able to paint my porch and security screen doors perfectly. One of the things I was most impressed with is this machine can double up as a blower. Perfect for blowing leaves and dust!
C**!
Just buy it! You won’t regret trying it! You won’t ever want to go back to hand painting!!
Wish I would’ve bought 3 years ago!! I was so intimidated by the thought of using a sprayer but this was So easy! Easy to use and to clean! As long as you clean it really well each time, it sprays perfectly! I highly recommend using a scotch bright stainless steel scrubber on the sprayer pin after use and anywhere else paint gets dried onto your sprayer! & REALLY SCRAPE the inside of the tips with the pin they give you - up down/back & forth - not just thru 1 time. Paint can get stuck in the tiny barrel area of the end of the tip and can effect spraying performance. Also, use the viscosity cup anytime you mix new paint- it really matters. I tried to use it without and I got a lot of texture in my paint. Use the stopwatch on your phone to time.. typically any paint I have used needs to be between 40 and about 48 seconds to be able to run through the sprayer and have a good finish. Highly recommend having a wet paper towel handy to wipe the tip of the sprayer while you’re spraying to keep paint from drying out on the tip and messing up your finish too!! I typically wipe the tip off after about 2 or 3 rows sprayed otherwise it will start spitting unevenly bcuz paint starts to dry on the tip!! Also, after I spray I shove a waded up paper towel on the tip and then wrap that with aluminum foil if I’m going to be spraying again in a couple of hours or even the next day - saves me from cleaning it as often! Test spray a piece of cardboard before you start to spray your piece every time just make it a habit because if that sprayer has sat at all, it will change how much paint is coming through that nozzle! I bought a 2nd one of these bcuz I loved it so much & wanted to have a backup so I don’t have to switch back and forth so much between top coats and color! Search up Vonfirm paint sprayer on YouTube - Ray of Sunshine has a great easy tutorial video! Just buy it, use it, you won’t regret it! :) oh and lastly… buy the cheap bags to put paint in & the paint strainer cones - makes life easier and ALWAYS strain your paint… super easy, takes a few extra seconds.

Should had used a roller
I bought this to use on a chicken coop I am building. Basically a plywood box that's 8x4x4. I used Glidden outdoor latex paint. Glidden advises to use without thinning when using spray guns. Following the instructions, I knew that was not possible as the viscosity was much too thick based on the test using the cup provided. I thinned the paint with water. I do have experience with painting cars from long time ago, so I am familiar with proper technique when using a spray gun. I also tested this sprayer with just water against a wooden fence. It atomized water very well. It also did well enough with thinned latex paint, but you cannot stop for more than a few minutes due to the nature of the paint. Given my experience with painting the chicken coop, I would not buy this sprayer again. At least not for a project which involves outdoor spraying and latex paint. It was a waste of time and paint. The paint can was rated for 400 square feet of coverage. I used more than half to paint 128 square feet. I has to refill the gun 3, each time rushing to mix the paint with water, before paint starts to dry inside the sprayer. Afterwards, I had spent at least 30 minutes cleaning the sprayer. I disassembled it and used a garden hose to clean everything. I will say, that the sprayer is very easy to disassemble and clean. Regardless, it still takes time to get all the paint cleaned off. For my project, it would had been faster to use a roller and I would had used much less paint. Only thing I imagine this sprayer would be good for is acrylic type paints or oil based stains. I could see using it to stain a fence with an oil based stain. I can also see someone using it to paint farm equipment or do a poor man's DYI paint job on a car.

Surprisingly good for such a low price.
I've used and owned other hvlp and airless sprayers before, and I am surprisingly impressed with this one, for the price. I was concerned that you can't adjust the airflow, only the fluid amount but after using it, I found that this wasn't an issue anyway. I sprayed 30 year old, painted, kitchen cabinets that had been lightly sanded and it came out as smooth as you can expect for older cabinet doors that weren't in great shape. At first, I sprayed the primer (Behr cabinet and trim primer) a little too thin. I was worried about going to heavy and getting drips and runs. but it turns out that I could have gone heavier. Then I did two coats of Sherwin Williams Emerald trim paint, alkyd enamel water-based paint. Again, the first coat was probably a little lighter than necessary but by time I put on the second coat, I did go slower to get a heavier spray and it covered very well with no runs. I did have the cabinet doors laying flat, not hanging though so that might have helped the pain level out. The paint does need to be thinned considerably. The manufacturer recommends no more than 1/2 pint of water per gallon -- I'm not sure what I used but it was closer to a 1/2 pint per quart, in order to get it thin enough. You must use the thinning funnel to test how long it takes for the paint to drain from it to make sure you have it thinned enough. I thinned it to about 50 seconds until the cup was empty. However, on the primer, I didn't thin it quite as much and the tip clogged up a couple of times and it spat out large drops of primer so had to thin it a little more. Be sure to practice if you've never used and hvlp sprayer before. Do some nice, even passes, overlapping the previous pass by 50%. Start the sprayer when it's pointed just OFF of the piece your painting and continue across and end off the other side of the piece. Do not start and stop it on the thing you're painting itself (unless it's very large, like a house or fence) otherwise it will get too heavy where you do the turn around. I'd recommend this for smaller projects: shutters, doors, garage door, cabinets, furniture, maybe a deck -- but I'd go with a much faster Airless sprayer for larger things, like a wood fence, house, shed etc. This goes slower than an airless and you'd constantly need to be filling the cup with paint to finish the project. I definitely would NOT use it to paint walls in a room, it's way slower than a roller. I'd recommend using it for a closet though, since it's more difficult to manuever a roller in a small space. It uses surprisingly little paint to get good coverage though. I used under 1 gallon to cover both sides of 27 cabinet doors, 9 drawer faces and all the cabinet faces. I was surprised that's all it used. Overall, it works great for the price but, as with anything, a lot depends on the user's experience, comfort level and willingness to learn and practice.

It's sold to buyers in the UK but it's 120V and has a US plug
The rating is not really about the product. It could be great for all I know. It was advertised on Amazon UK but the device is for US users with US voltage and US plug so a non-starter in the UK.

The worst !!
The device burned in my hand after three minutes or less of the first use
