I have not experienced any dropped frames and the quality of the conversion is very good. This is because the card won't record in hd. connect the red yellow and white cables (from your xbox) to your capture card and plug it into your computer. load up video studio 12 or which ever version you have, click movie wizard then capture, now click options video properties and select the following: input source: composite (the red blue and green cables - im not sure how to set it up without them ie scart or hdmi) TV system: NTSC_433 - this seems to be the only option that records both sound and colour in pal 60hz, any other setting doesn't seem to work. (for best quality go to template and select the profile name DVD NTSC HQ 16_9) hit ok and turn on your xbox. Edit: I have fixed the sound problem, it requires 2 audio splitters and one male audio to audio cable (red and white on both ends) You need to plus the two splitters into the red and white connections on the ezcap, then plug the red cable from your xbox into one end of the red splitter and the same on the other splitter but with the white cable. this provides audio for the ezcap. I've used both the EasyCAP and the software that comes with it both of which have been excellent and reliable. I thought long and hard about buying this product rather than something more expensive given the mixed reviews. However provide that your computer is capable of processing the video stream, you should have no problems. I have a 1GB 3.5GHz Athlon 64 bit computer with about 80GB free on the hard drive. I would imagine that if your hard drive is getting full then storing the temporary files during DVD burning might be a problem. I shut down any background programs (such as Microsoft Office toolbar) during capture and leave as much of the RAM free as possible to handle the load. Technical support are very good. During installation I forgot to restart my computer and got an 'already reistered' flag when I tried to run it. My query email was answered within a couple of hours (this was on a weekend). Technical support not only contacted the software suppliers and verified the authenticity of the serial number but correctly suggected the remedy (Remove then reinstall).
