Yes. Pour in tank as instruction, carry on with mixed driving using the full range of the engine. Revving the bollocks off it will shift turbo carbon, but doing mixed driving will help clear the EGR, as it does not open on "High demand" scenarios, and you need to get gas flowing through it to clean it. Don't pootle around at 30 mph in fifth. The best preventive is nice steady runs at around 60-70, it;s the short runs that clag up the turbo and the EGR. Get the engine hot-hot to dissolve the gunge in the egr and the carbon on the vanes. Have fun.

Used it in my bmw x5 30sd and it worked. i can hear the turbo whistle again, however the effects have worn off and my car is sluggish again. why?

Like most additives, they will clear a lot of residue build up, but you need to make sure the problem is cleared. In some cases an EGR that is stuck partially open can give similar symptoms.
