Very simple and light. It absorbed well and did its job as a hydrating serum. Saw no skin irritation, nor was it scented. No change in skin brightness or tone but my skin was fine to begin with-- I was more worried about a new addition to my routine setting off my sensitive eczema.

Having tried Skin & Lab products before and having liked them, when I saw this Essence available from Vine, I requested it and here we are. This review is for: [SKIN&LAB] Hybarrier Hyaluronic Essence | Contains Hyaluronic Acid | Daily Facial Essence | For All I've been using this twice daily for about two weeks and I really like it. This formula is on the watery side, which was not what I was expecting. It comes with a bulb eyedropper in a pretty, clear bottle. The bottle is a bit bigger than I expected, but more product is nothing to complain about! I use the dropper to dispense the essence along my fingertips, then I rub my fingertips together and apply to my face. I try to gently tap it in before it runs down my face. (As I said, it's watery.) Over the two weeks ,I found my skin to stay moisturized throughout the day. The surface of my skin feels smooth and calm. It might have evened out my skin tone too, because in the few areas where my skin is sometimes oily seems not to be anymore. There's no scent to this that I can detect and I like that too. To sum up: this essence has helped my skin quite a bit. There's a good amount of product, (1.69 fluid ounces), and the price is reasonable at the current $34.00 asking price. I'm excited to see if my facial changes will continue to improve with continued use of this Skin & Lab Essence!

This is an excellent light-weight essence that works very well with my very dry, sensitive skin. My skin also tends to become rough and dehydrated very easily. I have a hard time finding skin care products that moisturize effectively and help replenish the lipids in my skin but do not cause irritation. From what I gather, an essence is like a water-based serum. That seems to describe this product quite well -- it is thin and just slightly more viscous than water. It goes on easily, and is absorbed quickly. It is quite hydrating and it helps to smooth the rough texture I sometimes get + it is so nice to use in the summertime, when I want to lighten up my skin care routine. The current price of $34.00 seems reasonable as most of my serums are housed in one ounce bottles, and this one contains a generous 1.69 ounces. I don't need to use very much per application and it feels very nice on my skin. The essence arrived nicely boxed but was not sealed.

This product is just kind of “meh” for me. It’s fairly watery for a serum, and I definitely need an additional moisurizer product afterward to feel like my skin is hydrated. I also got the Hybarrier Hyaluronic cream from this same manufacturer and I prefer that. The lack of scent is a plus. The bottle is pretty and gives a n upscale spa vibe, I’m just not overwhelmed by the effects of what’s inside.
