I bought this bench to put in front of a window so my dog can sit/lay on it and look outside. Prior to buying the bench I was using some milk crates covered in a blanket. That worked fine, but it was not quite tall enough at about 12 inches for her to lay down and look out plus over time it started to scratch the hardwood flooring due to the crates shifting around. This bench solved all those issues plus it looks nice and has some storage too which is a nice bonus. Unlike other reviewers I did not find it particular easy to assemble, but it was not terribly difficult either. The instructions are just pictorial but get the job done. The hardest part was stretching the fabric over the frame to complete the assembly. Some of the Velcro tabs that hold it down to the frame did not line up very well and one tore off during the assembly too. Too be fair though once it's assembled the Velcro does not really do all that much anyway. One thing I was concerned about was the strength of the top and frame. For reasons I won't go into here, I need to stand on the bench often so I needed one that could support my 180 lbs weight. I posted a question and received mostly affirmative responses so I took the chance - mainly due to the steel frame. It appears to be sufficiently strong enough to handle my weight with no problem so that's a huge plus for me. In the end it looks nice, the fabric is thick and plenty strong, it can handle weight, it's not overly hard to assemble, can be used for storage and comes at a decent price. If I could I would rate it 4-1/2 stars due to the assembly issues I mentioned, but given the price and the final product, I would lean more toward five stars. I have no problem recommending this bench to others if the things noted in my review seem to fit your needs as well.

This really is a great storage box. I got it so that I could put toys in it for when the grandkids visit. It's beautiful and sturdy. It was extremely easy to put together and the instructions were very written well. The cushion on the top is a very thick and strong material. The kids can jump around on it and I am not worried about it breaking; guests can easily sit on it. Aesthetically, it's very pleasing and matches the decor of my room. Very good purchase

Ease of construction: 5/5. It was fairly intuitive, even without looking at the instructions, but I still would glance at them initially as I did. The combo pack was put together within an hour, even with children at play during the unboxing and construction. The durability: ?/5 The jury is out on this one. The bench so far is easily handling around 55lbs of children at play. An adult around 300+ has sat on it and it seems steady, but I definitely question the 600lb threshold advertised. There is no connective hinge keeping the lid attached, which does mean no sliced fingers, but still the potential for smashed fingers in child households. The footrest doesn't use metal framing like the bench does, it's collapsible. I really doubt how much it can hold on its own. I wouldn't put more than necessary upon it. Pricepoint: 4/5 I think we spent under $130.00 for the combo, both shipped separately, and I mean, they are pretty decent for what we paid. I do not feel too disappointed. Complaints: 2/5 I really wish that the footrest could have had a metal framing just in case, for additional seating options. Also, the sticky adhesive for the anti-scuff rubber for the feet is not very good. I'd advise picking up some of your own adhesive and letting it set before attaching the legs. The welding for the metal looks decent, but I've been wrong before with unrelated products. The final verdict: 3/5 The SONGMICS storage ottoman bench and footrest are a decent additional to any household for light to medium use, but if you want something more durable for heavy use... this product may not be what you are looking for.

This is just what it shows you here. A nice storage bench with good capacity. I have a TON of my yarn and crochet projects stashed here so I can easily tuck them away when someone comes over and pull back out to work on when they leave. The cushioned bench is comfortable and strong enough to hold an adult without worry (we've had a 180 lb person sit there during a movie without fear of them breaking it). I plan to get another to keep throw blankets in.

Easy to assemble. Canvas wraps well around frame and bench is sturdy. Great for storage of extra sheets and blankets. Comfortable to sit on.

I actually really like this piece and it was easy to put together with the exception of one thing..... The legs/feet did not have clear instructions. The directions didn't show nor say that the feet had protective caps on that needed to be twisted of before installing. TBH at first CS was no help they told me initially I had to contact Amazon and the only choice Amazon had was to take it apart repack it and send it back or accept $14 and go find my own feet. It took several calls (which were never answered) and several emails before someone responded that actually knew what to tell me to do.

Love the look of this bench and it is very sturdy - my 230 lb husband leaped up on top of it without warning or hesitation to change a lightbulb and for a moment I thought it would collapse but it didn't. The bench is exactly as pictured, beautiful grey color and very comfortable to sit on. Great storage space and appreciate the option of covered sides vs open sides. The fabric insert lays very taut along the sides so it looks solid. Appearance is very nice. However, did have some frustration getting it together. Despite all the pieces looking intact and straight, after I put it together (with painstaking attention to detail) the lid would not fit onto the top - specifically would not sit flat on it. I could get 3 corners to fit but the 4th would just not slot into place. I took everything apart, kept the screws a little loose to allow for some wiggle room and adjustments, and then tried again, but it still wouldn't go. Was finally able to get it to go in, but only with all the screws very loose. After a lot of maneuvering and trial/error, found that there was a single orientation and method of putting the lid on that would allow the lid to fit and allow the screws to be tightened enough to allow stability. Ultimately now that I've figured this out, very happy, but initially was pretty annoyed.

Love this ottoman. Fits perfectly with my space and I am using it as a coffee table or as an ottoman to rest my feet while chilling on a sofa. The quality is perfect and it’s a great value for the money. The storage room inside can for a lot of stuff and I keep some books, magazines, small pillows etc. the black colour matches well with my set up. Oh, and it was light and so easy to install. Recommend.
