**Q: How can they be satin but made from Polyester ??**
A: Satin is not a material, it is a type of weave. Some people believe that to be true satin it must be weaved from silk, but that is not the official definition. Typically satin is weaved from polyester when it is on the cheaper side, and silk when it is more expensive.

**Q: What is the best way to wash these?**
A: I washed on delicate, cold. Dried on a rack. One of the pillowcases a shredded along the horizontal and vertical seams. 
Unfortunately, I had ordered several bedding items for company coming to stay, I had opened the packages—but did not was until a few days before their arrival. 
(I now see that I have missed the return date by exactly 7 days).
If you have purchased these particular pillowcases, hand wash them in cold and lay them flat to air dry.

**Q: Are they slippery?**
A: They are not “satiny” and a little coarse compared to other satin cases I own.  They are not slippery.  Unfortunately I am returning them.

**Q: What size is a standard pillow**
A: 20 inches by 26 inches

These pillowcases feel phenomenal. Not cold, not hot either. They are staying on my pillows without sliding off. I do not have satin sheets, but cotton, and my pillow stays put. I wanted the satin pillowcases for my hair. I haven't been waking up with frizzy bed head I used to have. I have long, thick hair and would wake up looking like I stuck my finger in a light socket! These pillowcases do cut down on that quite a bit. I love how soft they feel, too. My only disappointment was finding out they are 100% polyester. I thought they were a blend of silk and polyester but thats on me. I didn't read the description good enough. Thats on me, but still, considering that they still feel great and are holding up well in the wash.
