Solid Companion to BenQ's 27-inch Model
When it comes to system upgrades, one thing usually leads to another, and the old bit of gear you thought you'd be carrying over to the new setup doesn't work as planned, or, in my case, doesn't work at all: when I set up my new Mac Studio a few months back, the plan was to keep both my 30" and 23" Apple Studio Displays for at least the following six months before retiring them. The 30" monitor chose early retirement by refusing to light up when attached to the new Mac, and no means of jiggery-pokery would change things, so out it went, and in came a BenQ PD2706QN, which I promptly set up and put to use...and I liked it, a lot. So much so that I made up my mind to get hold of the 25" version in order to have a proper technical match – they're literally the same spec. just in different screen sizes, which eliminates one headache I'd had in the past: screen-to-screen calibration. This is especially an issue with aging monitors which *might* have similar specs to one another, but might be suffering from faltering electronics or dimming backlighting...even if you can manage to calibrate them, they likely won't stay calibrated for long. One cool bonus for me is that the software from BenQ, besides being comprehensive in getting things right for critical image work, is fully compatible with my Datacolor Spyder X for next-level calibration – an nice, extra bit of peace-of-mind. Highly recommended. (25" model is on the left; 27" on the right.)

Excellent monitor
I'm a graphic designer who needed a large-scale monitor without the eye-straining miniaturization that comes with the newer 4K monitors. This one from BenQ fit the bill. Color fidelity appears to be very good, and much better than my old-and-fading Dell 3007WFP which this monitor replaces. The size is very nice, the brightness so far has been terrific, and the price was very attractive. It produces excellent and faithful proofs on my Epson SureColor printer. I'm happy with this purchase.
