Our shower tray was almost over flowing and all the natural options hadn't worked for us so I bought this. I had no luck with it at all but my husband who is a little more patient than me removed a huge blockage within about 10 minutes. It's saved us a huge plumbing bill and so we are delighted. Just don't rush pushing the wire down, coax it slowly and wiggle it around, any blockages, turn the handle or the wire for a couple of minutes and then slowly pull out. Review: Good for smaller jobs - Not the best quality, but it is good if you need it for a smaller job. When you need it for a bit more massive blockage you will need a more robust "weapon". Unfortunately I needed that so it wasn't the best buy for me. It wont go round u-bends, it just bunches up in the top part of the drain pipe. Any advice?** A: It's supposed to 'meet' the blockage then you turn the handle to grab it and twirl it round the wire but I haven't had any success with it. It's rubbish and just lives in the cupboard while I use a chemical option. **Q: Can i use it for dishwasher hose block** A: The end is small, i didnt bother with it, threw it away **Q: Will it get out toilet freshener rim that’s blocker a toilet** A: Hi Sara, I very much doubt it, it’s quite a flexible tool and don’t think it would shift something solid like a toilet flush block holder , it’s really designed to go round bends and shift soft build ups in the pipes, good luck **Q: how does this work** A: The wire part (which goes down the sink/drain) is 3mm wide. But for smaller jobs I can recommended it. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Cheap enough but didnt do what I wanted *by T***T on 13 July 2021* Bought this to help with a blockage but it will not go around a bend. I thought with it being thin it would work but difficult to handle because of its length and unless it goes down a significant amount then you can not turn the handle. If you can undo some of the pipe bend in order to get to a straighter bit it will work unfortunately that was not possible for me has the pipework is sunk into the wall and difficult to get to. Go down a straight length of pipe work perfectly well but that does not get blocked so not needed. It was cheap enough to give it a go and may work for some pipework but not for what I needed it for.
