Fortunately I only need it in one position (phone camera over a piano) so was able to do so quite quickly and easily. I would not recommend for moving to different locations and needing to bend a lot as a few people have said they snap. However I think it will be fine if you treat it correctly and not roughly bend it. The phone holder is very good and holds it securely.
