I am not a heel down except for certain numbers. But it's single pivot and action is very responsive **Q: please can you tell me if it possible to fit a beater to the left pedal as i use single and double bass drum set ups** A: Sadly not. In theory you can attach the beater and springs with a few basic DIY skills, however the problem is with the hoop clamp assembly. Works great! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not bad *by M***. on 9 September 2019* Overall a good quality product like most pearl hardware. Two disappointing things: sometimes, well once, the beater just fell off- i hadn’t checked the tightening screw before playing, but then I never had to do that on other pedals. Secondly, the attaching clamp that holds the pedal to the rim of the bass drum is very narrow and I struggle to get it over the glued on rubber grip that is part of my bass drum. Also the drive chain seems thin. That said, its powerful and fast and so far seems durable.
