I have always wanted double piercing, but always put it off due to how inconvenient it was. When I found these kits online and realized I could do it myself, I was skeptical and nervous, but figured it was worth a try! I did it myself, and It was so insanely easy. The earring sticks out a little out of the tool so you can easy line up exactly where you want to pierce. Memories as a child from getting it done at Claire’s with one of those guns was very unpleasant and painful, but this gadget really didn’t hurt at all. I would compare the pain to a small pinch, and I didn’t even numb the area. My ears are very sensitive to certain earrings, but these don’t bother them at all so they must be a good material. I really haven’t had any pain or irritation since and the round backing makes it easy to sleep on my side without it bothering me. I did pour some rubbing alcohol over the gun and earring just to be safe. Just make sure to push firmly and hold it there a second. I got a little nervous the second piercing I did, I don’t think it pinched it long or hard enough cause it didn’t go all the way through, but it did go most of the way, so I was able to give it a little push and got it all the way through my ear, honestly it didn’t hurt much. Overall, I absolutely love them, they turned out great, so proud of them!

The spring got stuck on one of mine. I suggest pushing to do the initial piercing, letting the clear center plastic fall, then pressing again to connect the backing firmly and the device will release it. Overall easy to use and took less than 5 minutes to do both. I did a lobe piercing so I'm not sure how the pain would be on the cartilage but mine personally just felt like a pinch.

The only sad part about this product is it is not spring loaded. Which is my issue. I should’ve read the detail a little better. HOWEVER, it did not affect the outcome. It was simple, easy and did not irritate my ears. A great stand in earring until you can get a different pair.

Works well did four people's ears no issues it's been 5 weeks and no infections and all going well. Would recommend.

It looks pretty accurate but the earrings got stuck in the chamber with the outside lock, I had to keep my hand on the spot and fired again.
