Hi on the 55/40. Is 55 external?

If you order 95mm door lock, 55mm is the inside dimension and 40mm will be the external dimension.. Confusing I know and bought the wrong ones myself.

Double sided cylinder? Is it possible to unlock the cylinder if there is a key at the other side?

The centre part of this lock (the cam I think it's called)seems to have a massive amount of play, is this normal?

I think the massive amount of play makes turning the key either to lock or unlock very easily and smooth.
