Swiss Movement Men's One Hand 24 Hour Watch Single Hand Black Case with Italian Leather Strap

Just as the Seiko SKX series borrowed the Rolex submariner iconic dial, this Jiandun borrows from the Botta UNO 24 Quartz. Both Botta (a luxury brand) and this Jiandun use the same exact mechanism; the Ronda 515.24h. It's a tried and tested Swiss movement, that due to it's simplicity it can be mass produced inexpensively (it goes for about $17 from parts catalogs). As such the Jiandum is an extremely reasonable value ! Several people complain about initial accuracy. I recommend to rotate the hour hand a few times around out of the box to let the oils distribute. Mine is on the dot (and it's been a few months already). The other interesting thing is that I thought it'd be confusing to switch reading to a 24hr watch ... but boy is it so much more fun. Since the watch goes around only once, each quadrant means only one thing. This little detail alone makes it easier to read time. Often I don't even have to read the exact time; just by looking at the quadrants I know exactly what I am supposed to be doing. The speed of the hour hand is also the actual speed of the earth and helps the brain to calibrate it's sense of time. The subtle grey area denoting the evening hours also provides a sense of horizon; for sunrise/sunset. Finally there's the visual correlation of the hour hand loosely pointing to the location of the sun (eg at midnight it should bellow your feet). All these details add together for a more pleasing (in my view) and more intuitive/visual (versus abstract) read of time. So far I prefer it over the standard 12hr analogs. I like this concept a lot and looks great with an aftermarket sunny yellow nato strap !

Arrived promptly. Functions perfectly. What's not to like?

Slow watch as they called it....for the price, my expectation exceeded. Good leather strap. Bought one for myself and convincingly another for my friend to purchase it. What more can I say. Great stuff. Cheers!

From my experience I say don't waist your money. I may have gotten the only one out of who knows how many that doesn't work at all. Checked the battery with a multimeter and it was expired, so I bought a new fresh battery and tested it to make sure it was at least 1.55v and it was 1.57v. Very good battery, and the watch still does not work. So I am out $60. with no refunds or replacement !
