Felco 9

Have been using this pair of secs for 7 years now, and they are fantastic. I sharpen them a lot, but that is just through use, and I abuse them a lot by using them on branches they shouldn't be cutting. If you have a strong grip, these will cut through anything you can fit in its jaws. I don't advise that, but they will do it. Much better than paying a paltry amount for worthless secateurs, push the boat out, and these will last forever.

A strong reliable secateur, have used this model for 15 years since I broke a righthand finger, before that I used the right handed rolling handle model . I find I can use these in either hand , a great help when up a ladder, spare blades can also be obtained if needed. Though expensive for a secateur they last & wear well so cheaper in the long run. I have used both models for commercial cutting & would never buy any other make

At last someone has recognised that secateurs designed for right handed people do not work as well with us lefties. The difference between using these and my old secateurs is like chalk and cheese. They look as though they have good build quality are comfortable in use and I anticipated many years of good service from them. They were delivered promptly and at a very competitive price and I have no reservations in recommending both the secateurs and the supplier.

I think most gardeners agree that Felco are really the only secateurs to have. And no-one else makes left handed ones as far as I know, so that is excellent too. Before I got my first pair of Felco I used to buy really cheap ones from Woolworths (I think it's ok to say this as they are no longer around!) and they'd usually last me a few weeks. When I got my first felcos I took the woolies pair and used the felcos to cut the end off the blade - I think that illustrates quite clearly the difference in the quality of the steel they use to make their blades!! Now I won't use anything else, and I only needed to buy these ones because Someone nicked my last pair!!

These are the second pair of Felco Model 9 secateurs I have purchased and are as good as the original pair purchased in 1984, which I am still using. The only downside was the original pair came in a bespoke polystyrene case, with this purchase there was no case.

I have been using this model for over 25 years, finally decided to get another as a treat, the original is battered though still serviceable and will be kept as a spare

I am left handed and, although I can manage with right handed equipment, it is good to have something designed for left handed use. These secateurs are a good solid item, razor sharp and work beautifully. They give a clean cut without crushing and are exactly what I wanted. They are not cheap but the engineering quality seems superb and I see that I can get a sharpener should this become necessary.

This is the best pair of secateurs I have ever held, and that is in my right hand! I bought this for my left handed wife; it is solid, well crafted, well balanced, and built to cut, snip, and prune for a lifetime. It was delivered within 48 hours, which for a cross channel standard delivery is very good. If you are sick of tools that don't indicate where they are made, which invariably means some Chinese slave shop, and are still fairly pricey, then pay just a bit extra for this Swiss made piece of precision engineering, and you will never regret it.
