It's as good as they say
I loved my 600ml one so much, I got the 480ml too. The reason being my only gripe: It is pretty much impossible to get the smell and taste of coffee off the silicone seal parts. I considered just ordering those parts, but it's prohibitively expensive unless you live in Japan or the USA. So now I use one for coffee, and the other for everything else. All the other reviews aren't exaggerating, it keeps drinks hot for an incredible time. I've been taking my tea to football and even on the coldest days its still hot. The first time I used it, it was too hot to drink all through the game, even though I left the lid off throughout to try to get it to cool. Four hours later on the train home, it was still too hot to drink! I've had to master the art of putting in just the right amount of cold water when I fill it. Zojirushi flasks are quite pricey, but mine paid for themselves after one season of saving on buying unpleasant football ground tea!

Perfect - multiple uses
I bought a Zojirushi flask after other brands broke. The Zojirushi has lasted 11 months so far and it's perfect, especially the 480ml capacity and the lockable easy pour lid.I fill it up from my coffee machine at 7am before work every morning and it stays piping hot. I sip this throughout the day until midday. Also saves me about £50 per month as I don't need to buy shop coffee anymore and it's also helped me lose a stone in weight by eating less.At 1pm I fill it with a lunchtime hot cup a soup with my falafel wrap.I also make a fruit smoothie at home which I transfer into the Zojirushi for a refreshing icy drink during my commute back home.Recommend buying a thin bristled bottle washing brush If you want to use the flask for different types of drinks.

Don't buy anything else!
Before buying this flask I read a lot of the reviews. I think it's fair to say they all rated this product very highly. As a result, I thought I'd take the plunge and buy one.I'm very fussy when it comes to leaving reviews. The product has to either massively disappoint or massively impress and I'm pleased to say this one is the latter. Not only does this flask provide incredible heat retention (don't bother preheating the flask if you plan to drink your beverage within the first four or five hours) but it's also incredibly well designed and well made. It's easy to take apart to clean and it's easy to re-assemble. I absolutely love this product and have recommended it to numerous family members.

Best thermos for an attractive price.
Now, while i've not had to opportunity to use this myself, it's because I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend. She has thus far raved about it by telling me how it has very effectively kept her hot drinks steaming for hours on end. I swear this little thermos blatantly defies the laws of thermodynamics with the way it retains heat.Plus, it clamps on tightly and there is no spillage. Furthermore, it gives a satisfying 'click' whenever you open it.If you're in need of a thermos, look no further!

... travel mugs I've bought and it really is the best I've bought so far
This is the second one of these travel mugs I've bought and it really is the best I've bought so far. Excellent at keeping drinks hot and doesn't leak in your bag. Very slim profile making it really easy to carry.I would recommend getting a bottle brush for the lid as it does sometimes become quite difficult to clean.Non stick surface in the mug itself is magic.I've tried Kleen Kanteen, Contigo and a whole range of brandless mugs and this is the best.

Great product
Great product overall, keeps a hot drink piping hot even after 4-5 hours. Use it almost everyday for the last few couple of monthsReally happy with the purchase.
User
Perfect
Just what I was looking for, If I have any complaint it's that it keeps my drinks piping hot for too long. Was pricey but the quality was worth it, plus it'll keep me from losing it.

Poorly made and extortionate for a flask!
I previously left a good review soon after I bought it but 6 months down the line I can give a more thorough feview; and it's not great. So you're looking for a cool travel flask for work, traveling, dog walking... or if like me just like gadgets and toys. Everyone has heard of thermos, they've been around for decades and they've probably lasted that long to get yourd still looking for something else? Well don't bother in short.I previously bough a Contigo because it was cool, and then I bought another one because I ruined the first one. That's got many issues but I looked elsewhere and decided on a Zojiroshi based on reviews. At first it's a well built product, designed fairly well, the lid locks, its apparently leak proof and it comes apart to clean.Well it does keep things hot for a long time but the sipping part inside conducts the heat to much so for the first 9 hours you can't use it with out burning your lips. I constantly have to open it completely and drink from the actual container... or to defeat the object decant it to a cup. Not really travel for then...It leaks...The lid isn't the part that creates a seal but the inside mouthpiece and rubber cap in the lid. All of these are designed to be removed to clean but the rubber stopper doesn't fit well into the lid so the seal isn't created and it leaks out the top. Many times I've found coffee at the bottom of my bag. It's also designed so it can be cleaned but the sip bit is far to narrow that you can't fit anything through it to actually clean it. Its toothpick wide and hardly practical. The plastic and rubber tale on flavours. I can taste previous drinks no matter how well I soak and clean it and its because the narrow parts to clean that you can't wash everything properly. It's not very hygienic. And my lovely looking black case is now a flaked silver flask that shouldnt have cost £35. I look after it, as would most people who spend this much on a travel cup but the paint just keeps flaking away like a cheap gloss coat. All in all it's a half decent attempt at making a flask but over thought and poorly executed.Stick to a thermos, they last a lifetime, don't fall apart and cost half the price. I now need to replace my Zojiroshi and I won't be repurchasing this one again.

Boiled water stored in bottle is 87C after an hour and 71C after 6 hours.
UpdateI purchased this Oct 2016. It is currently Nov 2025 at the time of writing this update. My bottle is still going strong. It has been dented in 3 spots from accidental drops, but it still keeps my boiled water super hot even overnight. It performs just as good as the first day I got it. I'm super happy with this bottle and I use it almost daily.------Pros- The size of the bottle is so small! It stores the same amount of my old bottle but its profile is smaller and keeps drinks hot for much longer.- The lid cover has rubber gaskets to prevent leaks and it works well. Cover lid also has a lock feature to further prevent leaks.- Stopper can be removed from the lid cover for easy cleaning. Don't worry, I gave it a try and it can only be removed when the entire lid is unscrewed from the metal bottle. While it's screwed on, there's no possible way you can remove the stopper by accident.- Page 9 of the manual also explains how long it can keep drinks hot. In case you're too lazy to look at the photos of the manual, the water will be at 87C after an hour and 71C after 6 hours. I'd say this is accurate. I tested it with a thermometer myself and my water was 73C after 6 hours.- Vacuum insulated bottle stays cold while holding just boiled water.Cons- The disposable tea bag I used to fill with loose leaf tea was hard to remove from the bottle because tea leaves expanded and was too hot to grab. Opening was also too small for this small metal round tea steeper I had. My point is the opening is very small and you'll have to find a tea steeper that's tube shaped to actually fit in. Small teabags will fit in just fine though.- The instructions booklet advises against storing the bottle sideways and keeping it upright. Who honestly can maintain the bottle in an upright position? I just put mine in my purse upright and I'm off on my commute. By the time I arrive at the office and open my bag, I see that the bottle is already lying sideways. I haven't had it leak on me yet though.- Putting ice cubes/frozen drinks inside might cause the internal pressure to decrease and the lid cover gasket to come off when you open the lid so be careful. If it comes off, just reattach the lid cover gasket.Tips- Don't put carbonated drinks inside! The pressure will build up in the bottle and cause problems.- Don't put soup inside. Soups have a lot of sodium/salt, which will cause your bottle to rust and lose thermal insulation.- Goes without saying but please don't put this in the microwave. No one should ever put metal in the microwave.
