I bought this to add to my synology surveillance station and have been very pleased with the picture quality and dynamic range. It can be a little slow to connect to, but once established the picture is amazing.I had modified some of the settings initially and ended up with a terrible picture which exhibited picture lag and pausing. Performing a full reset to the factory default resolved the issues and I am very happy with the picture.If you are going to use this to record to a nas drive (24/7), you will quickly consume up to 1tb a week, so make sure you have fast high capacity drive available.

Hikvision products are nothing but average with little evidential quality in general and very poor support. You would be hard pushed to glean any evidential evidence from their cameras unless its a nice bright sunny day and close up. Night vision is awful. Though of course it is night vision so you can see in the dark which is handy. Again you wont be getting anything evidential. Movement sensors are awful. It picks up anything from bacteria flying past to dumbo and the circus parade, so therefore there are no real *events* that make checking back for evidence easy. You either pick up EVERYTHING or nothing, doesn't seem to be any inbetween. It does of course depend on your usage. If its indoors in a room with no movement it will be great. Outside with trees, bushes and bugs about, a nightmare. You can reduce the sensitivity but in reality all that means is you lose anything you wanted to capture anyway. I mean how hard can it be to design a camera that ignores bugs and birds but picks up razor eddie with a shotgun in his hand!! Security lights don't go off anywhere near as much when picking up movement so the technology must exist. I suspect Hikvision have spent all their money on making the products look pretty, rather than actually work properly. Everything is hard with these chumps and their NVRS are not much better. Setting up, updates, password recovery etc a nightmare. That said this may well be as good as it gets for now in this price range, but the flaws are really not rocket science to resolve.

Decent image during the day, but in night vision mode, it's not as good as my previous generation hikvision cam (4 years old).That said, hikvision cameras are really rock solid. I've had this device in for a year (and another similar one for over 4 years), and they've never gone down once.Excellent kit.

I've ordered 4 cameras and one had a non default password. Obviously it has been used before. Hikvision won't help resetting the password as Amazon is not an official reseller. There is no hardware reset. I need to send this camera back. Other than that, the three other cameras are fantastic.

First time I have had CCTV pretty easy to set up works rather well, I find the app easy to use but keeps logging me out randomly

Awesome bit of kit, allows me to keep an eye on my property 24/7 with an extremely High resolution of 4MP, I can clearly see what is going on and make out faces etc. :)

Provengo dal mondo Foscam, e devo ammettere che con Hikvision ho scoperto scenari che non immaginavo, le camere si installano agevolmente, sono molto stabili e hanno un'ottima definizione di immagine, questa in particolare poi in versione con lente 2.8 mm mi ha risolto una problematica nel retro del giardino dove necessitavo di un ampio angolo di visione....... Servizio Amazon al solito impeccabile, consegna rapida e ottimo imballaggio.

Die Kamera "scheint" wertig und original Hikvision!Durch die fehlerhafte Software (siehe Foren) sowie die mangelhafte Doku (welche nicht zur SW passt) habe ich mit Hikvision Kontakt aufgenommen.Hikvision lehnt jeglichen Support für Cams von Amazon ab! Ihrer Meinung nach handelt es sich um Fakes/Kopien.Die Optik der Kamera scheint wertig zu sein und wer das Teil nur als Web Cam nutzen will (Direktzugriff oder per Zeitintervall Foto auf FTP Server) kann sehr gut damit leben.

Buona telecamera, con un buon illuminatore IR. Purtroppo per me, sebbene elencata sul sito Hikvision come COMPATIBILE col mio DVR, nella realtà non lo è perchè ha un bitrate massimo più elevato di quanto accettato dal DVR; il problema è che anche programmando la telecamera a bitrate minori (come da specifiche) e sicuramente adatti al mio DVR queste configurazioni non vengano nella pratica realizzate e la situazione verso il DVR non cambia.ATTENZIONE alle tabelle di compatibilità Hikvision; evidentemente sono solo teoriche e non vengono testate!!!!

Hikvision sempre una garanzia. Ottima telecamera piena di impostazioni. Un po troppo sensibile alla pioggia per gli allarmi dati dalla telecamera. Troppo sensibile agli sbalzi luminosi. Attendo una versione con sensore IR, sicuramente più fedele per gli allarmi intrusione.
