**Q: Could someone please say the maximum number of hours and minutes it can countdown from, when used as a timer, and is the alarm loud? Thanks.**
A: The timer will countdown from 99hours 59seconds. The alarm is not intrusively loud but beeps continuously until switched off. I had no problems hearing it above the sound of the cooker hob extractor when I was at least 20 feet away.

**Q: Do you put the probe in at the start of cooking a joint of meat and leave it in for the whole cook or near the end of cooking to check temp**
A: I put it in for the whole time to save disturbing the oven or BBQ while it is cooking. This also lets me see progress, how close I am to being ready.

**Q: How long it takes for the food temperature to show up?**
A: The thermometer shows the temperature of the meat within seconds of inserting the probe. As the meat cooks the reading on the thermometer increases.

**Q: My thermometer has 2 settings. One is Thermo temp and one is Set Temp. I don’t know what the difference is and googling doesn’t help me. Any advice pl**
A: The thermo temp is the current heat reading of the thermometer, set temp is what you’ve programmed the temp to reach for the alarm to go off. So example if you want the alarm to go off at say 70c, set the temp to this, then as soon as ‘thermo temp’ gets to 70c, the alarm will go off

This is absolutely phenomenal! No exaggeration, it’s just brilliant. You can set it for temperature or time. So easy to setup too. I’ve used for steak on a grill pan, chicken breasts in my air fryer and duck in my electric oven. Perfect results every time. I’ve had quite a few temperature probes but this is by far the best. Well worth every penny - and it’s not even that expensive. Excellent!

Great little BBQ thermometer, attaches to the BBQ by magnet and probe is heatproof. Temperature measured in Celsius and Fahrenheit switchable.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The thermometer is easy to use and understand

It works very well and arrived promptly. I tested the probe in boiling water and it read 100 degrees celsius so it is very accurate. The thermometer is easy to use and understand, however please read the instructions thoroughly to make sure you don't do anything that could damage it; for example, the stainless steel probe should not be completely submerged in water as the junction between the probe and the wire is not waterproof. The thermometer is excellent as you can leave the probe in the meat in the oven as it cooks, eliminating the need to open the oven door which would result in fluctuations in temperature. This also reduced your risk of burns, and, since a loud alarm will go off when the required temperature is reached, you can pretty much forget about it until then. You can now eat your meat knowing that it is at a safe temperature, and you will not have to overcook the meat 'just in case' which often results in a dry and unappetising meal. Some minor problems I noticed: the magnet is useful, but is a bit weak, and so the thermometer tends to wobble around when stuck to the outside of the oven. The flip out counter stand on the back isn't that much help either. Despite these issues, the thermometer is still a necessery piece of kit in my kitchen and has a wide variety of uses.
