Features graduation marks up to 900 ml, so fluid intake can be monitored. The hydrant is a one litre bottle with integrated cap/handle/hanging bracket, a drinking tube with a bite valve and a small clip to attach the tube to clothing if required. Bottle is hung from the bed, chair or wheelchair and the user simply takes hold of the tube, inserts the valve between their lips and gently sucks. The bite valve opens under pressure and closes when released so there is no leakage. Works well when hung slightly above head height, on a bed headboard or back of a day chair. Once the tube is full of fluid the whole system becomes a siphon and no further sucking is needed simply apply pressure on the valve and the fluid flows gently out. Suitable for water or other drinks such as cordial or fruit juice. All parts excluding tube and valve are dishwasher safe. It is so easy to use - it took me about 3 minutes to get the hang of it. It does not drip and has no taste. It's so wonderful not to have to ask people to get me a drink.
