Bought to weld railings and gates, which I approached with some trepidation. Ground and "veed" the work pieces, clamped and began. Absolutely straightforward welding two off one metre flat steel hinge pieces to gate. 8 welding rods per gate. Not pretty but takes the weight of the attached bifold gate. Welded at 120amps. At 205amps it immediately blew the extension lead fuse plugged inbto the domestic circuit. The welding machine fuse had been "bridged" with a hidden metal strip, so it offered no protection. This seems to be common practice with these machines - so much for import control standards! I swapped it for a regular 13amp but haven't tested the maximum amps before blowing. Plus points are the higher duty cycle and the sturdiness and length of the output cables. These swung the deal for me along with fast delivery.
