How can I shorten the screws for the back of the cylinder? I've tried a junior hacksaw to no avail. Or where can I get the same screws but shorter?

I'm sure I've managed to shorten the screws with a junior hacksaw before. Needs a sharp blade and the file the burrs off the end of the screw afterwards.

Is this the one with the spring that locks when you close the door? I need the one that you need to turn the lever to lock it.

Yes as you close the door it locks so you can lock yourself out as no key needed to lock although you can move the inside button to keep it from locking
