Once this has elapsed I believe it resets but I think it will only do it a certain number of times before it switches off. **Q: My door surface and frame surface are not aligned. Can I get spacers?** A: Without seeing the problem I suspect you could space either the magnet or the sensor to align them, I had a problem but could get around it by putting the sensor on the door and the magnet on the frame which is not usual. The sensor can also detect the magnet from a couple of centimetres which may also be of some help here.
