Yale EF-PIR Easy Fit Alarm Accessory PIR Motion Detector, White, Motion Activated, Accessory for SR & EF Alarms, 868MHz technology

This PIR is a brilliant addition/replacement to the Yale easy touch alarm system. It comes preinstalled with the required batteries, plus screws and wall plugs. It's supper easy to link to your alarm, (a brief explanation) all that's required is for the alarm panel to be put in learning mode then once the sensor is mounted and the batteries activated the learn/test button is pressed and its then linked to your system, and it's ready to be used. Please note that this sensor is not the pet friendly one.

I bought these to add to my home security and they are easy to fit and work well.

Added this pack of 3 PIR sensors to my EFkit2 in order to provide some overlap coverage (eg if a burglar breaks into a window without disturbing the frame (so not disturbing the Door Contacts), this will still catch them). Extremely easy to link to the main control panel, setting up takes about 5 min - the longest period of time is deciding where to put them! On the Very Sensitive setting (jumper inside the devices) it’s brilliant and can detect you from 22ft away. Drops a star because they don’t come with adhesive mounting options like the original alarm kit does - I used No More Nails tape and they’re strong enough to stop me pulling them off the wall despite me putting my weight against it - great substitute if you don’t want to drill holes around the house.

Easy fit alarm pirs are easy to fit work well. please follow instructions , that is fit the original kit first then add extra pirs as required. A good alarm no problems a year after fitting , pleased I have peace of mind after recent burglary.

I have added this to my alarm system and am very pleased with it. If I have a criticism it is that it is difficult to test. Not the push button function, that is easy, but it is difficult to get a response when walking in front of the sensor sometimes. I think it works ok - but you don’t get a positive reaction every time. It doesn’t give a great deal of confidence.

I had a problem with the alarm and tried to solve it through their customer support. Their support is awful with emails taking days to be answered and phoning is pointless due to the long waits. What followed was a series of emails often asking the same questions and offering the same solution which I had repeatedly tried with no success. After over 2 months of this I did some research into who was who at Yale. One name came out as being the person who was in charge of publicity for promoting the smart alarm. It was pretty easy to guess his email at Yale and a polite letter explaining what had been going on soon got a response. He delegated the task to a team leader of the customer support team. After several emails he switched me to a different server and the alarm began working. It was fairly easy to set up the alarm initially. I liked the idea of being able to control it from my phone. You can with the addition of a camera take a picture although not quite the resolution you need. It is expandable which is what I plan to do next. Yale need to spend some time giving better fault finding advice on their web site and training up more support staff.

Ho acquistato l'antifurto per appartamento Yale smrt living SR-3800i https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B07GQ76HN1 e mi sono trovato subito bene, ho deciso così di prendere ulteriori sensori PIR per metterne uno in ogni stanza e vanno benissimo, si collegano subito e sono precisi. All'interno ci sono dei jumper, il n.3 aumenta la sensibilità del sensore se sta in posizione ON ;)
