Update: have now had two fail in TWO days in outside lighting one the colder / frost came one bulb completely separated Lens to cone the second one (next day) split along the same joint. As stated a replacement for Philips bulbs one of which had been in from 1998. In conclusion a decent bulb if used indoors not suitable for all year outdoor use Seems a quality item used on my outdoor lighting replacing a Philips item that had been in for years. Good light spread only time will tell on durability

I didn’t read the description correctly and assumed that I was ordering the cool white version. However, this is warm white, and everything is bathed with a sickly orange hue, it’s reminiscent of the old sodium street lamps. Functionality wise, it works and is cold to the touch and has been up for a month now with no problems, but the colour is simply ghastly…..well, to me it is.

These are quite expensive but do last a long time. I've been using them for many years now.

Cheapest place I could find to buy this item is The Lightbulb Company. Delivery is quick and the product is a good replacement for my external security system lamps. To be on the safe side if using outdoors make sure you fit a rubber sleeve between the lamp and lampholder. The rubber sleeve does not come with this lamp.

The product is good for the price. Installed it a couple of weeks ago. It is working excellent.

I fitted this bulb in early May, merely two months later it has blown. The security light the bulb was fitted to takes two of these bulbs and in the seventeen years I've had this light it has only had five replacement bulbs. Basically, the bulbs normally last around five years so I find two months of use very poor indeed.

The Lightbulb arrived within the given delivery dates and was package well enough. Unfortunately it was only at the time of installation that I realised that the bulb I was taking out was 80 Watts and not 120. I needed the light so had to put the bulb in while I ordered the correct wattage bulb. The Bulb lasted about 2 days before it stopped working. On examination it was cracked and slightly blackened inside. This could be down to 2 reason. The first is the wattage difference was too great and just burnt the bulb out. The second is the bulb was left on overnight when it snowed heavily. I can only guess that the hot bulb surrounded by snow caused the bulb to crack and therefore stop working. I have given 3 stars as I cannot say if it was the bulb that was at fault or whether it was user error in putting the wrong wattage in, in the first place.

Just an outside light , no complaints. Arrived fairly quickly ,well packaged.
