A great piece of kit
Love this monitor. It's a lovely size, it has excellent colour reproduction and there is no dark/bright spots on it. The bezel is slim and unobtrusive, and the built in speaker isn't half bad either. I purchased this display to connect to my laptop as the laptop screen was small and fairly low-res. I'd mainly use my computer for research purposes and of course media consumption. This monitor is nothing short of a delight to use. If you're in the market for a budget-friendly display without a ridiculous price-tag, this is a superb choice. I tend to use it as an external monitor for my laptop for research purposes and occasional media consumption. Video is smooth and I have no problem using it for multiple hours at a time. BenQ have really outdone themselves with this product. If you're on the fence about buying this screen, rest assured you will not be disappointed if you go for it. I can't imagine any other screen coming close for the price. The fact that it's got a built-in speaker is also a bonus. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Thanks Benq and also Amazon for the crazy quick delivery times. Happy viewing!

So awesome that I bought another one
This monitor is just really really really great. Lets start where I started with my monitor purchasing journey: The problem with the retail stores such as Currys, is that they overprice the worst monitors available on the market (For example, some 900p AOC monitor with no on screen settings with a horrible washed out panel), so you see that on display and think 'Wow that's bad', but it costs about £70-80. And then they show some average monitors for about £100 which are larger, but have shocking build quality, and as a student who is studying product design, nothing can make me cringe quite like a £100 Acer monitor with cheap gloss black plastic and a shoddy stand. So when someone on my course said you can't buy better than a BenQ, I have to admit, I didn't know who they were. The design online looked really promising, sleek, minimal and matte plastic. And the price was super tempting, 1080p and 22inch for £82? Basically I bought one, was absolutely astounded by the build quality, just really really great, best I've owned as far as TV's or monitors go. No creaking or anything, no compromises compared to any other brand (LG appear to be the worst for build quality with cheaper models). And shortly after, I just knew I had to buy another one to enhance my user experience with my PC. Not sure what else to say except, just buy it! Colours are great, PC gaming is great, low blue light option is fantastic, something I thought I'd never use but it really helps with eye strain in dimly lit rooms.

Excellent monitor but the product description has a couple of lies...
I've only just set these up so I can't say much for them in the long run, but initially I can say that the image is beautiful, colours seem sharp and vibrant, and the speakers are surprisingly good for in-built, I could happily use them for just general use (though I'd definitely still go headphones or speakers for the more epic moments in life). The only reasons I'm not giving this 5 stars are these - on this product it says that HDMI cable is "optionally" included. But it's not an option, so I've had 2 HDMI "style" monitors arrive without the proper cable. Temporary solution found, but I found that a bit surprising, as nowhere does it give a specific option to get the cable included that you intend to use. My only other complaint, and this one is a bit more major, in the details on this product when comparing with others, it states this has a built in camera. This is entirely false. While the actual monitor is still excellent for it's price, it's definitely still a bit of a stab when you realise you were falsely advertised to.

Great little monitor
I already had a larger Benq monitor for a few years and wanted to partner it up with a slightly smaller HD monitor. Glad I ordered this and wished I'd done it earlier. In fact I'm using this smaller one as my main screen with the larger one off to the side for when I extend the monitors. Easy to set up and navigation the menu - removed the blue screen mode as I don't like how that changes colours. But understand that function has it's uses and know it's there if I want to switch. as pleased with the packaging - and that it comes with both power lead and VGA lead. Theres also a DVI and HDMI input - which I may make use of for docking a laptop to larger monitor on occasions. nice minimalist and stable stand - no bounce. Fab price for a lovely mid-size monitor. Don't look for anything else - buy this one !. I haven;t tried the speaker - so can;t comment on that

Excellent Display for a Great Price
I was torn between getting the 21.5" version of this one, I'm glad I got this one. For anyone debating whether to get a 21.5" or 23.8" go for a 23.8" for the extra £30. I also ordered a second-hand one from Amazon Warehouse and that knocked off a £5 from the price and is as good as new, nothing wrong with it so I'd recommend going down that route too. As for the actual monitor, it has a nice clear, crisp display and has lots of settings in which to change so you can have the picture as you want it. The only downside is that you can't adjust the height of the display or rotate it without moving the stand but I', not bothered about that as I'm not moving it around but you can still change the angle of the display. Also, note it DOES NOT HAVE SPEAKERS. I knew this in advance but other people seem to feel cheated so if you expect to get speakers with this one, you'll be disappointed. For the price, you can't beat it!

VA panels somehow are the black sheep. Nobody really seems to pay them any attention. If you're looking for an SRGB monitor with 8 bit colour depth, look no further. This is a fantastic monitor. Viewing angles and colours are almost as good as an IPS panel, at less than half the cost. The response rate is faster than an IPS panel too, so does pretty well for mid-range gaming. My wife uses it for graphics and photo editing, for which the monitor is switched to SRGB mode. I use it for 60Hz gaming. Obviously it can't compete with a 1ms 144Hz panel, but I'm extremely happy with the response of this monitor. In addition, the dynamic range and the colours projected in the Gaming mode are fabulous! In the default mode, the monitor will crush blacks, which seems to be an inherent drawback of the VA panels, as compared to IPS. However, customise the settings using the OSD a bit and open up the dynamic range for regular day-to-day stuff and everything looks great. The reason you'd want to do this is because in the Gaming or Movie modes, text can look rather unreadable. In any case, for me, this monitor offers a perfect mid-range purchase for both gaming and photo editing. It has good enough specs for both. I bought it for around 9k and I think it'd be a complete value for money even at 11k.

Received the product today. Everything is good about it. Cons being height cannot be adjusted and not much of tilting is possible. Also there are no speakers in built. Then again, we can't ask for a BMW after paying for a Toyota, so yeah. Given the low price it does a good Job, best in the class.
