Excellent Soup Maker
So, I have soup at work almost every day for lunch. I buy the standard H***z variety. Never again. I purchased the Saute Soup Maker yesterday and this morning tried it for the first time. I made Broccolli and Stilton soup from Margaret Wrens Complete British Soup Maker Cookbook. Well... absolutely full of flavour and so smooth and no nasty additives. This gem of a soup maker will pay for itself in 4 months. I added a teaspoon of vegetable oil to the butter when I sauted the onions to help prevent any burning on the base. There was a little burning after cooking but I followed the Morphy Richards instructions after cooking to put in hot water and washing up liquid and after 15 minutes wiped with a sponge scourer and it wiped off easily. There wss some steam but no more than normal cooking, e.g. steaming vegetables. Easy to cook, easy to clean and not noisy. Would definately recommend

Quality and easy to use
Delighted at how easy it is to use. First attempt at making leek and potato soup and it was delicious. Easy to clean too. Would highly recommend. Definitely value for money.

Highly recommended Soup Maker !
If you're on the hunt for a kitchen appliance that can truly transform your culinary game, look no further than this incredible soup maker with a sauté function. While you might come across soup makers at a lower price point, let me assure you that this one is an absolute gem and worth every single penny. What sets this soup maker apart is its ingenious sauté function, which eliminates the need for an extra pan when preparing your soups. Say goodbye to the hassle of sautéing onions and veggies separately - this beauty does it all in one go, and the difference in flavor is remarkable. Now, let's talk about its size. It's compact, hardly taking up more space than a standard kettle. This means it won't clutter your kitchen, and you'll have more room to explore your culinary creativity. But here's where it truly shines: in just about 20 minutes, you can indulge in exquisitely cooked, velvety-smooth soups. And here's my secret - chop those veggies a tad smaller to fit more in, start with less stock, and adjust the consistency later for extra servings throughout the week. It's a meal prep dream, especially for those busy work lunches. Speaking of versatility, I've experimented with a range of soup recipes, from the classic carrot and coriander to the rich and hearty lentil and bacon, or the indulgent broccoli and stilton. And let's not forget the ultimate comfort food - cauliflower cheese soup. They all turn out simply divine. But here's the kicker - when you're feeling a bit lazy, you can grab Asda's pre-prepared fresh soup veggies. Their spicy butternut squash and scotch broth options are personal favorites. And for a real treat, try making a chunky scotch broth with minced lamb and peas. It's like a warm hug in a bowl. In a nutshell, this soup maker is not just a kitchen appliance; it's a game-changer. If you crave quick, wholesome soups that outshine any canned version and are a breeze to prepare, this is your ticket to culinary bliss. Trust me, it's become an indispensable part of my kitchen, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. Don't miss out on the opportunity to elevate your soup-making game to a whole new level!

Excellent piece of kit easy to use with easy to follow instructions/recipes. We picked this one as it rated higher than the Ninja branded one and we were not disappointed we love it. Great value for money fantastic size we had enough for two meals so frozen for a later day

So easy, such a healthy thing to have on the work surface.
I have waited till use obviously to write this review and this has proved to be a healthy timesaver in our household. I specifically wanted a soup maker with a saute function, so that I could brown onions, garlic, bacon, etc, pre cooking and this works a treat. I should have read the instructions first though, as tip from me to remember the saute function does not work unless you have the lid off! Usually, because of the pans I use, I have to cook soup, pour it into liquidiser (as Le Creuset pans can't use a bamix on as I discovered to my cost,) blend, return to pan. This takes all of that away. It is especially easy, if like me, you stock up on frozen veg, we now have a freezer full of mushrooms, peppers, garlic, mixed herbs, carrots. I take what I want out beforehand, leave it to defrost for a bit and then just put it in the soup maker, with a stock cube mixed up in some boiling water. As I say, I saute onions and garlic, bacon, first then add the other veg and seasoning. I put the lid on, I choose the consistency, which for us is always smooth, then I press go and in 21 minutes I have perfect blended soup. You will think that the maximum level doesn't seem to go up very far. Well it is enough to make 3 large bowls of soup. Yesterday I made carrot, lentil and bacon, one of our firm favourites. It was ready in the time it took to put the shopping away and tasted amazing. This is so much quicker and less messy than how we had been making soup. Cleaning is simply a case of wiping the blade, you can't submerge it in water as it comes of the lid fully, but all the functions are on it. You also can only wash the soup container itself on the inside, but I find a bit of liquid and a cloth to wipe round then rinse out and it takes 5 mins and is back on the work surface for the next lot. We had been buying the fresh soups in supermarkets, but this is better as we know what ingredients are in there and cheaper, as the frozen veg is about £1.00 to £1.50 a packet and you aren't using much of it each time. I have found that it makes quite a thick consistency, so am putting in a cup full of hot water when the programme has ended and stirring it around. I have been wanting a maker for ages, and am glad that I took the decision to get one and I am purposely leaving it out, so it doesn't get forgotten in a cupboard somewhere. The only thing I have found as a slight grumble, is that this does create a lot of steam during the cooking process, to counter this in our kitchen, I am putting it on the cold unlit hob and switching on the extractor fan, as I found if not the kitchen gets very steamed up. I am sure it would also work if you put it near an open window to save your walls getting a tad wet.

Great Soup maker!
I received the soup maker today and decided to try out it out straight away as I wanted a light tea. I was surprised as it wasn’t as tall as I was expecting and it fits well on my shelf. I took the advice from another reviewer which said, read the manual and follow the instructions. Without further ado, I cleaned the unit as instructed then I was ready to go. I had not long frozen some vegetables (onions, carrots, swede, parsnips, potato) so decided to make the vegetable soup recipe in the manual. Not many ingredients which was a bonus, I weighed out the vegetables but before I put it in the jug, I put a little water in the bottom (as another reviewer advised putting a little water in the bottom to stop anything sticking and it worked). I also listened to the same reviewer who said do not fill the jug right up to the maximum level, fill it just below, which prevents any spillage. I opted for smooth, pressed the start button and off it went merrily. I have to say that the blending part is noisy and I jumped out of my skin when it fired up! After 19 minutes, I had my soup, it was nice, smooth and thick, I coupled it with a nice whole grain roll, buttered of course! ;) okay! It did say it makes 4 portions but I hadn’t had lunch and was ravenous, so I got three portions instead. I am really looking forward to making some hearty soups to take to work in the cold months. The best bit is that I know what is in my soup and it has no preservatives or dodgy E numbers!!! I am going to try tomato soup next :) The only thing I was a little disappointed at was I thought the soup maker I was buying had a pause function but it doesn’t, but it’s not hugely important. It cooks brilliantly as the soup is piping hot. I was going to buy the compact version but decided I wanted to make a few portions for the week. It is expensive but I think I am going to get a lot of use out of it.

Makes the most beautiful soups. Enough for 4 good sized portions. Very easy to use. A good way to get your daily vegetables
