It really does allow the extension to fit nicely with the contour of my cranium, which does take a bit to adjust to the difference when you've been subjected to flat hair extensions your entire life. It's a good kind of weird feeling. They are built thick and solid unlike their evil twins which are thin and flimsy. Given their sturdy construction, I have no doubts that these will last me a lifetime. I chose the yellow ones due to the fact that I am notorious for misplacing my most used extensions, and thus by doing so, I eliminated wasted time searching for invisible black ones.
