Ernie Ball Skinny Top Heavy Bottom Slinky Cobalt Electric Guitar Strings - 10-52 Gauge

I've always trusted Ernie Ball strings to sound great for the price you pay!These strings have a nice tone but tend to wear away faster than the more expensive alternative but for the price you can't complain!

I am really impressed with these strings. I am using a Taylor TX classic which is a cross-over guitar producing electric and acoustic sounds. I find that using skinny top and heavy bottom adds to this because you can get a more acoustic sound with nice deep bass notes because of the heavy bottom end but also the electric playability from the top end with easy bends. They actually sound great unplugged which is a good sign. Plugged in, I am definitely seeing more gain from the cobalt than my previous standard strings. I am using a Yamaha THR 10C amp which I think struggles a bit getting a strong enough input without big powerful humbuckers but I found these strings helped improve that experience using my Taylor. No problems with snapping as some had found, just worked like a treat first time of asking.

I was in 2 minds about spending so much on strings and heard mixed reviews about cobalt ones, i took the risk and installed them on my Les Paul Classic. I was impressed by the clarity and sensitivity the strings gave the guitar's sound, through a crunch or distorted effect pedal, the guitar sounds very crisp. They've been on a while now, and i play around 2 hours a day, they've only just started to dull, so i have to say they last longer than ordinary wound strings. Its worth getting a set even just to say you've tried them in my opinion.

great product and really outlines the kind of sound that I am trying to achieve. good strong strings and recommend them for guitar solos as well.

I got these to go with a build I did and they are tremendous sounding. I usually use another brand, but these Cobalt strings got me doing a second listen for sure. They're kind of thick, considering I usually use 9-42, but the tone really comes out with the Invader Single Coils I got from SD.Being a little thicker I do notice they have a longer wear in time. They keep a tune while playing, and rarely have to check the tuning during sessions... if I didn't want to.

Mucho mejor sonido que con las normales, he notado la diferencia gratamente, duran mucho más, son un pelin más duras pero no mucho mas que las normales, han llegado en perfectas condiciones y rápido! Las recomiendo!
