I really have had a lot of fun with this kit and am happy to recommend it to anyone looking for a starter kit to give Bonsai a go. I did half the kit in January, 5 pots and half the supplied seeds and while I've not seen great results, I knew it wouldn't be easy. I've had growth in Italian Cypress and Judas Tree and nothing from the others, but I suspect that's my fault for trying it in January when everything is just a bit cooler than perhaps these trees need. I've just done the other half so will hope for a richer harvest, but if I only get a few, I'm actually OK with that, I know it's not always easy to get a lot. I'm rating 5 stars because the kit is very well presented, instructions are clear and easy to follow, the whole thing feels good quality and is a lot of fun to do, I imagine it'd be an enjoyable thing with kids too. The company seem very competent and enthusiastic to help (see the questions section above) and they sent a complementary packet of Chinese Wisteria seeds too (which I misread and put in the fridge, apparently thus killing them - my fault entirely!). A very positive experience!

I ordered this a few days ago. I liked the concept of growing your own bonsai trees, i thought that's interesting and gave it a ago. The contents of the box is packed to the brim. It Has a simple, easy to follow step by step Instruction guide included. The bonsai brush looks like an antique, high quality for sure! I would say this definitely makes a good choice to give as a present and is well worth the money amd I am going to get another for a friend. Item was delivered quick also

The 4 stars is only because I have not used yet, I have not got round to starting the trees off, but all arrived well, nice little set.

Simply can't fault the value for money, I got this with 40% off, and if I was to buy it again in the future I would happily pay the full price. The instructions are easy to follow, and very informative. The only thing in this picture that was not included is the ice cube tray, as they need soaking for the first 24-36 hours and I wanted to keep the seeds separate. I highly recommend, no doubt I would buy from the company again, it's arrived early too! Only 4 days from dispatch. Thanks!

Very excited to get this, didnt realise the process that is necessary to get them to grow. Soak them 24 hrs, soak the discs take much longer to expand than stated in the instructions, put the seeds in the pot with a bag on them. Leave for a couple of weeks. Stick in the fridge for 6 - 8 weeks then take out and see if they grow. Only the dwarf mountain pine are still going the red something? Sprouted but didnt survive and the rest did nothing. However and I may be completely wrong about this, if you think how many seeds a tree sheds each year only a tiny amount germinate/survive to adulthood so I'm not to disappointed. I only used half the seeds in my first attempt so will have another go in the autumn so I can bypass the fridge. The bits of kit that came with it are quite useful too

Couldn’t be more happy with this item and the seller. Prior to buying, I asked for advice as I’m an amputee and got a lovely, helpful reply. I went ahead with my purchase which came within 26hrs! It’s packaged beautifully, has great instructions, everything one needs to begin growing and caring for bonsai plus a free gift small book about bonsai care from the seller, plus, my kit was discounted from £20 to £15.99 - a real bargain for my new hobby/physiotherapy. I highly recommend this set and the seller - GARDEN COLISEUM to anyone and everyone. I’ve even had enquiringly follow up emails asking how I am getting on with my new kit - it is clear that this company really cares about their customers and the service they provide to they provide to them. I am very impressed.

Bit disappointed with this considering the price. On my 7th attempt, following the instructions to the letter but each time the pot goes mouldy. The last attempt I even left the bag open to increase airflow but still the pot went mouldy. After the the spores ate on the pot they start spreading to the soil and the seed so now even if I wanted to try again without the pot , most of the good seeds are gone. These pots have obviously been contaminated before they were dried so as soon as they get wet they start to go mouldy again. Very disappointed considering the price. My advise would be to not soak the seeds for more than 24 hours and if you’re going to use the bag either leave it completely open in sunlight or poke so many holes in the bag that it’s basically open anyway. Would not buy again, there is no contact seller on this purchase only refund option (which is a bit late considering I’ve used 7 pots)

I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend. The contents in the box were exactly as described. The instructions are easy to follow and the tools look sturdy and high quality. We can't wait until the trees grow. The fact there's 5 varieties of seed and everything I need to make them grow, I feel, makes this really great value for money.

Also ich habe an dem Produkt nichts auszusetzen. Alle Bestandteile waren dabei, komplett. Sie machen einen soliden Eindruck, keine Billigware. Meines Erachtens ist alles dabei, was man für eine Bonsai-Zucht braucht. Wie gut die Teile nun wachsen, weiß ich natürlich noch nicht – habe gerade erst losgelegt

Alles was versprochen war ist auch angekommen, und von dem Benzingeruch über den sich viele beschweren war bei meiner Lieferung auch nichts zu riechen. Der einzige Nachteil den ich jetzt sehen kann ist dass alles lose im Paket rumfliegt. Wie gut bzw. ob die Pflanzen wachsen kann ich noch nicht sagen, ich werde mich in einigen Monaten aber nochmal mit einem Update. melden

Die enthaltene Schere scheint mit irgendeinem bestialisch riechenden und wahrscheinlich auch gesundheitsgefährdenden Öl getränkt worden zu sein, sodass jeder in dem Karton enthaltene Artikel diesen Geruch annimmt und so beißend riecht, dass es fast in der Nase brennt. Selbst die Hände riechen nach kurzer Berührung stark danach. Ich habe zum ersten Mal ein hier bestelltes Produkt in den Müll geworfen. Keine Kaufempfehlung.

Aber die Samen waren bei mir blöd kein einziger aufgegangen selbst nach Anleitung
