I was replacing a Nokia mount that was solid, however, over time the plastic mechanism had failed. After a little research I came across the Belkin, it was well packaged & appears to be a quality plastic with a great twist lock suction mount. The jaws open widely to accommodate my XS Max & will also hold it in a case. The mechanism appears to be metal in construction which is great & should add some decent longevity to an inherent weak spot of most mounts - so another plus from me! Mounting to the screen was a breeze, the twist lock function just works & I like the split arm which can be used to retain the charging wire when not in use. Angle range is good although limited, but I didn’t find that this caused any issues for me. In use the mount is solid with zero sag or vibration, of course going over a pothole may make it bounce a little, but even then hardly at all. I've had a few and they can be so unreliable, falling off easily. Was uncertain about this one because it looked bulky and that made me think the suction wouldn't be adequate to hold it and my iPhone 7+ in place. However the suction is really solid and the way it holds the phone both very secure and easy to fit the phone into without fuss. It has fallen off once or twice over a long period of use (had it about a year now), but that's just going to happen on suction devices. Changes in temperature and moisture and so on just have their effect.
