KATSU Pocket Hole Jig Kit, Aluminium Pocket Hole Jig Dowel Drill Joinery Set, Portable Woodworking Drilling Guide Positioner Punch Locator Tool 105418

After watching lots of reviews and considering budget bought the Katsu Pocket Hole Jig. On opening the box very impressed at the quality look, worked through the manual that came with it but just a bit of advice watch visoes of how to use a pocket hole jig. Have to say on reading some of the poor reviews this got I cannot see why, this product is well made, yes one hole is slightly lower than the other as may be less than 1mm, but then if I wanted perfection i would spend a lot more money on a tool, that said the tear out that you get is the same as apparently the more expensive one according to the video reviews. Currently I have just practiced on off cuts but I have to say I am impressed with the results, will post further information when used on a build project. Early reviews say the drill guides are the wrong way around but think this must have been just early modes as they are correct now, well unless I am using it wrong!! What comes in the box? The aluminium jig(I mounted to my work bench) a drill bit and collar, square screw driver allen key, a bag of pocket hole plugs, a bag of 1&1/2 inch screws with flat heads. that can be screwed in using the square driver or a phillips head driver. L=shape adapter for off the jig pocket hole cutting. 2 allen bolts to raise the 1/2 inch wood to the correct position for pocket hole drilling. It was mentioned in a review that you cant use 38 mm wood as jig wont lock it down, I found the same but used a shorter bolt to get a round this and for the cost of the jig don't have an issue with that. Overall so far soo good and am pleased that I purchased this, will update on longevity of the product as I use it. Update 18/02/21 Having now used this on my latest project I have increased my review to 5 stars, having practised using it and using on my latest project I am so pleased with this item and can recommend it without any hesitation. Take your time when drilling lifting the drill in and out while using rather than pushing the drill down in one move, better finish, the wood does make a difference to the result if rough wood the rip will look bad no matter what type of pocket holer you use, I have used on planned wood purchased and rough wood that I planted myself and both resulted in a good result.

I don't often compliment a product these days as there are many choices, but sometimes you cokes across gems! This is BY FAR the best thing I've ordered in months and I've ordered a few products for my garage from power tools to screws, I've tried so many pocket hole jigs and this by far is the best. It feels very solid, and it performs what it says headache free and very accurate, there's this satisfying feeling when I buy something and it does EXACTLY what's its built to do and this is definitely one of those products, don't even look for anything else if you're looking to do pocket hole jigs then this is 110% a winner by a mile.

Overall this pocket jig works well, it’s great value compared to the likes of Trend and Jig which are twice as much. It’s sturdy metal construction gives it a solid feel. However the reason for only 4 stars is due to it needing some refinement before I could use its. I found as in some other reviews the drill bit supplied would not fit through the holes, it needed boring out a little before it moved freely and could be used. That said once this was done it worked well and I’ve used it a number of times successfully.

Well made, value for money, bought this after watching a lot of videos on PHJ’s. I’m not planning on using it constantly so didn’t need to spend a lot on the Kreg etc. I’ve used recently to build a new bench and it’s done a good job. Used mainly in 18mm ply and the drill leaves quite a bit of wood swarf but it sands off easily enough. Prior to use I found a different HSS bit and smoothed out each tube as they were a bit rough. Then I apply a small amount of grease to the tubes prior to use. I’m satisfied with it. V good.

This product arrived and I immediately discovered that the guide holes were too tight for the drill bit therefore I had to Reem them out with the drill a good few times. I also spent at least one hour filing the drill inside of the drill distance collar to make it fit over the drill bit. Not particularly great quality however..... the item now works well.

This product is brilliant and you will not be disappointed. The jig arrived quickly and was used the same day it was delivered. If you are considering buying a plastic KREG pocket jig for an extortionate price, DONT, buy this instead. It's made of aluminium with clamps, screws, pocket drill, driver bit, portable bracket, screws, hole plugs and manual and about half the price of a KREG. When it arrives have a quick look on U tube to see how it works rather than reading the manual it will save you time. Outstanding

Looks extremely well made. Solid with what looks like great quality parts. I didn't expect the bonus mobile part either. Happy days. Proof of the pudding is in the eating as we say in the UK. But for now I'm very happy.

I have used this pocket hole jig quite a lot and I really like it. I particularly like that you can use it on both thin and very thick material. There is a second hole with a wider angle for thicker timber. It comes as a bit of a kit so you can take off and use the individual hole jibs on their own with the brackets that come with. Incredibly handy for making pocket holes where you can't get the piece into the jig. My one complaint is I can't get the two hole jigs straight in the main jig anymore. No matter how much I try I just can't. The holes are no longer drilled the same.

Concordo con le recensioni precedenti e aggiungo 2 cose che ho notato da subito. 1) se non si regola bene il pressore al pezzo a L(elle) avvitato con 3 viti dove c'è la manopola potrebbe arrivare troppa forza e flettere un pochino (perdendo i 90°), servirebbero altre due viti sulla aletta che poggia sulla base oppure regolare adeguatamente il pressore. **Aggiornamento: flettono tutti e non influisce sul risultato finale. 2) ho notato che ci sono 2 coppie di fori da usare in base allo spessore del pezzo 12-19-25mm e 30-38mm ma le indicazioni stampate (vedi foto articolo) POTREBBERO essere INVERTITE cioè dove ce stampato 12-19-25mm in realtà sarebbe 30-38mm e viceversa. Questo perchè su youtube girano due versioni identiche ma uno con indicazioni in mm e l'altro con indicazioni in pollici (inc) MA NON CONCORDANO, nel punto dove c'è scritto 12-19-25mm nella versione in pollici c'è scritto 1¼" e 1½" di conseguenza dove nella versione in millimetri c'è scritto 30-38mm nella stessa in pollici c'è scritto 1/4" 1/2" 1". Verosimilmente credo che quella in pollici sia veritiera ma potrei sbagliare. ciao **Aggiornamento: Si. Sono invertite basta osservere le immagini nel libretto delle istruzioni a corredo, quella in pollici è quella giusta.
