Would you be able to take off the plug and wire straight into the socket

My Bosch hob did not come with any cable or 3 pin uk plug attached. For single phase 240 volts use the copper links supplied and I would suggest using 6mm sq cable. An Earth is required. You may be able to use a smaller cable but seek advice from a qualified electrician.
