Complete Grain Free Dry Adult Cat Food 2kg Chicken with Salmon Kibble

I swtiched to a grain free diet for my cats because one of them was routinely sick when eating the common brands. Going grain free cured this, and of the ones I've traied Applaws seems to be their favourite. Depending on offers and discounts it can be good value for a "deluxe" brand, and I find the cats seem to need less of it compared to Go-Cat and similar, presumably because the very high protein content is more satiating, so although the per-kilo price is much higher, overall the cost to me isn't much more.

This is the first time I purchase cat dry food from this branch. As soon as I have received the parcel I opened to give to my cat. He really likes it. And that is a release for me. Reading the ingredients I was a bit dissapointed of not seeing fresh meat as first main ingredient but chicken flour. The taurine is low. Don't like the fragile plastic bag either containing the dry food. In fact I had an hermetic pasta container where I put it in so that the product can preserve well in all its properties. Our pets food needs to be safe, well preserve and free from any source of contamination. Anyway, it is an ok reasonable good food for the price but no completely right there. I had initially gave three stars to this product because I thought to be average but then remembering all the many branchs selling cat for cats with many irrelevant ingredients and often toxic endangering the health of our little friends, I have decided to give four stars. Comparing with the rubbish selling from other branches this one is safe. I have also subscribed to it. My cat is the boss and his good health my priority.

My cats love these biscuits. I try to choose good quality and ethical brands of pet food and Applaws fulfills this. My cats go crazy when they think they’re having these biscuits and they’re nice and small so easy to chew. They seem to keep the cats tummies nice and healthy, which is always a bonus with indoor cats! Maybe not the cheapest product but a high quality one worth the price

My cat prefurs dry food.

Unfortunately my handsome little furry guy can’t live off dry food (will have infection and blocked urethra on dry food alone). We have to feed him wet food to make sure he is getting enough water to flush his system. Unfortunately our vet tells us that wet food is causing his teeth to go bad. He suggested trying to add a handful of quality dry food each day to his diet (wet food staying as the main source) which may help clean his teeth. He does however absolutely love this stuff, and when both these are down alongside his wet food, hands down these biscuits win! If the product details are to be believed (I’ve seen nothing yet to believe otherwise) they have an excellent high percentage of meat too. I am gutted he can’t live off this stuff alone as I think this product is much healthier for his teeth and body as a whole. (Just a small tip based off our experience: Vet recommended Hills Prescription dry food to “stop” him suffering with his blocked urethra and infections. Tried the stuff (which he enjoyed a lot) but within two weeks he was back on a catheter again. Did a little research and read that plain old wet food would work better than Hills prescription food (which you don’t need a prescription for anyway, so already somewhat misleading product name). Indeed, after over a year and a half of wet food, he has not had any issues.

Auf die Inhaltsstoffe gehe ich hier nicht mehr ein weil das wohl ein jeder bereits in der sehr ausführlichen Artikelbeschreibung gelesen haben sollte. Geliefert wird das Trockenfutter mit Hühnchen & Lachs von Applaws in einem wieder verschließbaren Plastikbeutel. Dieser ist total unempfindlich und absolut reißfest. Beim öffnen muss man aufpassen das man ihn über den Clip zum wieder verschließen aufschneidet, dann kann man ihn nach Gebrauch einfach wieder verschließen in dem man ihn zusammendrückt. Sehr positiv habe ich zur Kenntnis genommen das mir beim öffnen des Beutels nicht gleich so ein penetranter Tierfuttergeruch entgegen gekommen ist. Dieses Futter riecht zwar auch, aber im absolut humanen und erträglichen Rahmen. Eigentlich riecht es sehr aromatisch und fast schon lecker Meine Katze ist schon beim öffnen des Beutels um mich rum geschlichen und haben es sich nicht nehmen lassen das Trockenfutterr sofort zu probieren. Und ich kann ihnen sagen das es den Katzen hervorragend geschmeckt hat, sie haben sich regelrecht auf das neue Futter gestürzt. Und das nicht nur am ersten Tag. Meine Mecky ist jetzt 10 Jahre alt und sie hat noch nie Trockenfutter aus der Hand gefressen, nur aus ihrem Fressnapf. Hier bei dem Applaws macht sie das aber. Für mich ist das unfassbar. Die Körnung des Futters finde ich ausreichend groß. Ob beim fressen jetzt auch ein Zahnputzeffekt erzielt wird kann ich nicht beurteilen aber ich könnte es mir gut vorstellen. In erster Linie habe ich es aber bestellt weil meine Mecky zu Kristallen im Urin neigt und dieses Futter den ph-Wert neutralisiert was die Bildung von Kristallen unterbinden sollte. Alles in allem kann ich dem Katzenfutter von Applaws ein sehr gutes Zeugnis ausstellen und gebe ihm die volle Punktzahl in Form von 5 Sternen da meine Katze es sehr gerne mag und das ist letztendlich entscheidend.
