Stylish to look at, function fails to deliver
This has had very mixed reviews and its safe to say that my experiences with it have been mixed.Like others I'm not totally impressed with the design. I'd be kind and say part of the problem is my weight but it seems as if many are having problems with the stability regardless. It seems as if function has been set aside in favour of aesthetics. Because it really does look nice on your bathroom floor. A real talking point in that sense. The app and set up isn't perhaps quite as simple as you'd hope, or be lead to believe. Anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of these things should be alright though, even if it will take a little trial and error.Weight readings did seem to fluctuate without rhyme or reason so again, not the most reliable of functions. There's no denying this looks nice but the problems with the function sadly outweigh those advantages.

A beautiful and clean looking scale!
I was a little hesitant at first with the initial reviews, but I really wanted a scale that could take my full body composition like body fat and muscle comp, and also I wanted a smooth and flat at the top so dust and hair doesn't get trapped into the nooks and crannies of the display. The packaging is beautiful, it reminds me of buying something from the Apple Store. The scale is well packaged and comes with a quick guide sticker on the scale. It also comes with the batteries already installed so that was nice, no need for me to run out and get batteries for it.Initial setup:I initially had some trouble with the wifi setup, I tried it in my bathroom at first which is a bit far from my wifi router, so I moved it a little closer and it seemed to pick up the signal just fine, I moved it to the 2nd bathroom that is a bit closer to the router and it seems to work fine. I also run 5ghz wifi, and it didn't seem to work, I tried turning on 2.4ghz channel and that seemed to solve the problem.Using the scale, I've used it for about a week:After the initial setup, I weighed myself, which seemed pretty accurate as I had just weighed myself at the doctors office last week. It calculated my BMI, and showed my weight in the app on my phone. However I was a bit confused about the full body composition as it just showed me dashes. I did a bit of digging around in the app, and apparently if you tap the "Q" in the corner, it will bring up a menu and you can turn on the full body composition in the settings part. So I turned that on and it measured my full body comp, including my bone, muscle and water %! Pretty nifty. There also appears to be a pregnancy mode which can help my wife track her weight during pregnancy which is pretty cool. There is also a goal setting section which I can put in my target weight in and it smiles at me when I'm going towards my goal and frowns at me when I've indulged my self a bit too much... Ha!So I think in summary, it's a beautiful and clean looking scale, I like the goal setting smile mode. Setup was a little clunky and could be a bit smoother, but once it's done it seems to work fine.

It's not accurate and potentially dangerous
As mentioned already by another reviewer, I too am absolutely astounded that this design was signed off past initial testing. They are borderline dangerous as they wobble and tip when mounting and dismounting the scale. There's a reason that scales are usually square, it's for stability. If you insist on this design decision, then perhaps you should consider putting the feet at the extremes and closer to the edge to help stability.I also own the QardioArm and love that product, hence also assuming the QardioBase would offer me the same experience - I was sadly wrong. It's completely inaccurate, and my weight can vary by 3-5lbs within minutes of each reading.I'm having mine replaced to help address the accuracy point, but the round design is something I'm prepared to just out up with so my data is under the same app as the QardioArm, but words just don't describe what a ridiculous decision someone made in their design team. Totally form over function.UPDATE: I've had the unit replaced and the new one is as inaccurate as the first - even after supposed calibration. Slight movement on the scale can throw the measurement off by pounds. I just can't take these 'quirks' any more. I'd prefer a more accurate scale with less functionality. Some of the reviews are clearly made by people affiliated with Qardio. They are spouting their marketing lines in the reviews with not mention of the stability problem or inaccuracy - I can see through this a mile off!Since writing this review, I've tried Withings, Fitbit and a couple of other, and the one I've settled on and think is the most accurate and beat designed is the iHealth Core. Great scale, accurate and beautifully designed - oh and doesn't wobble like this ridiculous Qardio rubbish!
