[DEFECTIVE MANUFACTURING?] Promising but Disappointing
Has promise but is slightly made wrong and it is driving me nuts! I would return it if I had the packaging materials but I made the mistake of throwing it out because it appeared fine when I took it out of the box. The stand slightly dips to the right which makes your iPad dip to the right. It is slight but noticeable. I wonder how many others are made wrong like this. This product would get 4 or 5 stars if it were not for this defect. Seems the machine that bends the base of the stand was slightly off hence the dip. Product is made from a seeminly good quality aluminum.

Much better alternatives available for the price.
While the stand isn't complete garbage, there ARE much better alternatives out there. I've bought a few cell phone and tablet stands from one manufacturer and they were great. The alloy was thicker, the overall build was better, no cheap sticker to cover up screw holes in the back. The worst part was that I bought it for an iPad pro 12.9 inch. This stand seemed a little bigger than what the other company offered. I had to bend/deform the frame to bring the hinge forward. Otherwise the ipad was too unstable when I put it on the stand. To be clear, I mean that it was too easy to tip back. So, after my ugly alteration, it is usable. However, I won't buy from this company again because better alternatives exist. Then one I've used before starts with an L. Figure it out.

HUGE THUMBS UP!
For $16 dollars (price as of this review) you can't go wrong. This display stand held my older and heavier iPad 3 and (of course) my lighter iPad Air 2 with ease. The base of the stand where the tablet sits is plenty deep enough and wide enough for (probably) most if not all tablets and phones. The other great thing is the added silicon grips on the stand base, anchoring platform and base plate. It's worth every penny of the current asking price.Huge THUMBS UP.TC

Sturdy
I'm glad I finally talked myself into buying this for my tablet. It is sturdy and fits my iPad just fine. It elevates up off my desk enough to allow for the speaker to be unobstructed, so I can listen to whatever audio enabled app I am using. It will also be nice when I am using my tablet to follow a recipe. The ability to adjust the angle is helpful and I won't have to be concerned about accidental spills damaging my tablet.

Convenience at a reasonable price
I use this, along with the Duet app on my iPad and MacBook Air, to give me a second monitor while traveling. Because of the shape of the base, it (necessarily) doesn't fold flat, but can travel in the corner of my suitcase or larger laptop bag. The opening in the center of the holder allows the cable to connect in portrait orientation without disturbing the stability of the iPad. The pads at the bottom of the holder support the iPad without risk of scratching.

Although the dimensions were clearly stated, this is smaller than anticipated. I am not trusting my expensive 12.9" iPad to this.

Lightweight is not always a good thing
I like the material and finish of this product. I also like the simplicity of design and use. What I don't like is the fact it want to tip over when you touch the middle to upper portion of your devices screen. I have tried it with an IPad and a smart phone and the result is the same. a heavier base or a deploy-able rear foot would help keep it more stable. If you just use it for a stand to hold your device it would be fantastic, but if you plan to touch the screen for use, be careful.

Functional Stand
The stand itself seems sturdy and well made. It's nice how you can adjust the viewing angle. My only complaint is the giant text right on the front that reads "Portefeuille", which none of the images for the product show. While this is obviously hidden by the tablet, it looks fairly tacky when the stand is empty.
