Great buy does what it says

Seems to be fairly robust and the online video to assemble it helps as the supplied instructions are a bit hard to follow. My only gripe, is that the assembly instructions on the box are out of date as some of the fixings for the hose guide have changed. It shows two nuts and bolts holding the guide together but these have been replaced with self tapping screws. I opted for the more expensive of the two available as the cheaper one does not come with any hose whereas the reel complete with 15m of hose was only £4 dearer. Other than the out of date and quite hard to follow instructions this appears to be a quality product and I would recommend it.

Consistent Hozelock quality. Does exactly as described. At the moment its on an old mount, plan to fix it direct to the wall which is straight forward to do.

Mine is on the wall and works fine, no leaks at all. I was put off by all the negative reviews about it leaking but I figured give it a shot after reading one review about the instructions being wrong, causing all the trouble. It comes with instructions printed on the box and inside separately. Have a look through them to see what should go where, get the basic idea and then ignore them and use your common sense and logic to install this. You get connections for the ends of the hoses, and the adjustable nozzle for changing your spray pattern. One of the connections if a one way valve, which I didn't see the point of, but installed it on the supply connection at the back of the reel (the instructions don't tell you where it should go...). The instructions tell you to unscrew the internal connection attachment (the white bit) in the center of the reel; that the mains supply connects to at the rear, and the main hose connects to at the front. DO NOT DO THIS! I believe this is what's causing everyone to have leaks, as another reviewer said, it 'breaks a seal' and then makes it useless. The center front of the reel (the bit with the logo on it) lifts off for access to the output connection where the main hose connects, there is no need to unscrew anything, just use the access panel at the front. The one and only thing I had a little trouble with was the metal coil thing which (for reasons I'm yet to learn) is inserted into the hose pipe which connects to the output connection in the center-front of the reel. Don't hook this around the end of the hose as I originally did, it needs to insert in to the connection and hooks inside the connection. Someday I'll discover it's purpose, I really don't see what difference it makes to anything. The hose guide included is a bit cheap and nasty, I almost didn't use it. You have to construct it yourself, but it's straight forward. I improved it by countersinking the screw holes that attach it to the wall, so the screws would be flush with the surface of the guide, rather than protruding out - not aesthetically pleasing. This is something that should have been done as part of the original mould really. Anyway, I've used it multiple times and all is well, the hose can kink up sometimes and as it's my first hose can't say if this it's 'kinkier' than other hoses, at the end of the day it's hardly the end of the universe, just un-kink it.

Buon prodotto ad un prezzo abbastanza competitivo rispetto alla concorrenza. Devo dire che la fattura ed i materiali sono molto buoni, come la componentistica e gli accessori. In dotazione troviamo oltre al tubo, di ottima fattura, ed al supporto a muro, il supporto con rulli angolare, un attacco per il vostro rubinetto da 3/4 ed il suo eventuale adattatore da 1/2. 3 Attacchi a baionette di cui uno automatico, ovvero, nel momento in cui si stacca l'ugello terminale regolabile non serve chiudere prima il rubinetto dell'acqua poiché l'attacco si chiude da solo. Lo riconoscete poiché ha una "fascia" rossa all' interno. Comprese ci sono anche i tasselli con le viti (6 pz.) per il fissaggio al muro. In base alla tipologia della vostra parete vi saranno più o meno utili. Il peso da sorreggere non è eccessivo, parliamo di circa 3 kg, poco più. Quindi direi che sia l'installazione che l'utilizzo sono molto facili e comodo. In ultimo abbiamo l'ugello a getto regolabile ed in alternativa la pist*la che troviamo nella versione più costosa. Come dicevo le plastiche sono ben fatte, il materiale sembra robusto e solido. Nel momento di riavvolgere o srotolare il tubo tutto il sistema sembra molto silenzioso. Non ci sono perdite ne problemi particolari di montaggio. Non vi serve nessun utensile o attrezzo particolare per il montaggio a parte un tassellatole o trapano per forare il vostro muro, ed un avvitatore per avvitare le viti che si avvitano anche facilmente a mano. Molto soddisfatto dell'acquisto. Dovevo cambiare un vecchio tubo a rullo che mi si era seccato ed indurito. Spero che non capiti la stessa cosa anche a questo. Dovrò aspettare qualche anno...

Works as advertised, and feels like great quality.

Hallo, seit langer Zeit möchte ich auch mal wieder eine Bewertung kundtun. Auch habe diesen Schlauchhalter und war einerseits begeistert vom Preis und der Funktion, aber auch bei mir tropfte es wie im Video. Nun ein Jahr später habe ich mir noch einmal genau alles angesehen und bemerkt, das die Schlauchkupplungen falsch montiert waren. Falsch im Sinne von, den einen (und es sind zwei verschiedene) mit Aquastop an der Seite des Sprühstücks! Man dreht am Hahn bis Wasser kommt. Da aber gegen den Aquastop angekämpft werden muss (was erstaunlicherweise auch gelingt), tropft es in der Mitte! Zum Nachprobieren und kommentieren empfohlen ! Grüße! P.S. Der Schlauch ist großer Mist. Lieber einen guten mit Verdrehschutz aus dem Discounter.

Initially gave this a 5 star review but after having used for few months have some concerns. Firstly the wall mounting keeps unravelling. It's level but for some reason it just started unravelling and never stays fully wound. Also the hose itself is very weak. It kinks very easily when pulling across the garden and also within the mounting it gets kinked where the hose connects to the mounting within the mounting itself. The hose is easily damaged in the heat of Dubai - the hose has some ribs along its length but they are useless and hardly provide any strength especially being in the sun as it gets warm and the heat weakens the structural integrity of the hose. Overall it's not highly recommended.
