He is not a natural hunter, but he does love me giving him his fish straight from the box, packet and all and he spends a good 10 minutes throwing it around and hunting it before ripping it from the packet (after piercing it first to suck the oils out 😋) and devouring it. It obviously tastes fantastic or Seth wouldn’t try to get to them wherever they are - I have to keep them in the fridge to stop him from being able to eat the entire box of a dozen at once. 😂😂😂 They are decent quality loin steaks that look and smell like tuna as well as flaking once he starts biting into them. You might think that they are a bit on the hard side when you first see them and touch them, but that is obviously part of the preservation process. They provide a decent source of protein for your cat and I can tell by the way he growls at me if I go near him while he is “hunting” his prey that they are his favourite type of treat. I follow his lead and, if they are able to bring out his full primal response in that way, they must be good. (The photo is the mackerel when he was little but you can see how it looks out of the packet and the quality of their fish) Review: My cat loves these as a treat - I give these to my cat as a treat each month when she gets her flea prevention on. The size is good and it takes her a good 10-15 minutes to work her way through it. It does smell of tuna which is to be expected. Texture wise it’s soft enough that she can bite her way through it if I place the whole filet in her dish - I don’t need to be break it up for her. She absolutely loves the taste and cleans the bowl. ## Features - Warning:Not suitable for children under 3 years. It doesn’t say!** A: If it’s the listing for 12 x 30g, you are getting 12 tuna loins. These are treats, not sachets of food. **Q: Are these treats or are they complete cat food? I got a promotional packet sent to me and assumed they are treats.** A: these are treats. a tip, if you have a cat food they don't like, mix half cat food & half tuna loin, goes down a treat. **Q: Do they have a long shelf life?** A: Yes over a year. Though leave them in a locked cupboard, or they'll all have mysteriously disappeared by dawn. **Q: Are these like those weebox sticks?** A: They are not 'sticks', they are an actual moist loin of tuna fish. Our cat loves them and definitely appreciates the treat. What I do is open the sachet carefully to make sure none of the liquid/sauce that comes with it gets wasted. Then I break the fish up into pieces and put that in the food bowl with the sauce. I then add an additional small amount of water and mix that with it as this does seem to be needed, especially as there is not that much liquid supplied with each portion of Tuna. Make sure to add a little fresh water to it otherwise it could be a bit too heavy and solid. Our cat definitely appreciates this extra touch. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My cat hunts them… from the packet! *by T***A on 15 January 2026* How to make my pussycat happy! They sit on the window sill in the kitchen and stare at me till I give them some. I have started to cut down on the amount Iof tuna i feed them, as pure as the content may be. I don't want my cats to suffer from mercury poisoning. They share 1 over 2 days and have a total of 2 in a week. It's hard because they keep asking for more but I dont want their health to suffer. ## Frequently Bought Together - Applaws 100% Natural Cat Treats, Whole Tuna Loin Cat Snack, 30g Pouch (Pack of 12) - Encore 100% Natural Cat Treats, Chicken Fillet With Rosemary Loin Cat Snack, 12x 30G Pouch --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sn/products/48437901-applaws-100-natural-cat-food-treat-tuna-loin-snack-12](https://www.desertcart.sn/products/48437901-applaws-100-natural-cat-food-treat-tuna-loin-snack-12) --- *Product available on Desertcart Senegal* *Store origin: SN* *Last updated: 2026-10-30*
