All surfaces must be clean and free from dust, grease and other contaminants. New concrete or mortar should be allowed adequate time to dry and mature. Cut the tip of the cartridge taking care not to damage the thread. Apply nozzle and cut at an angle of 45° with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be sealed. Apply using a standard sealant gun. To ensure a proper bond, always smooth the sealant down with a spatula or piece of wood wetted with linseed oil or white spirits. If not anything else suitable?** A: Yes it can. I've used this on a gutter joining bracket that was full of water, the join on one side would keep separating, I put this underneath with water still in the gutter and holds together nicely and no leak. **Q: Is this good and strong to seal black felt loft lining under tiles?** A: I would leave your felt alone especially if its brittle. If you have a leak you need the tiles fixing. There is not much you can do from underneath. If you have a leak near the edge at the bottom part of the apex, I would consider a roofer removing the bottom row & re-bedding the tiles. Replacing the felt for a modern equivalent. This all depends on your roofing tiles. **Q: how long does this take to dry and can it be overpainted with plastic gutter paint** A: It wouldn't paint as it stays tacky. Everbuild clearfix would be better if you want to paint it. Clearfix skins over in approx 30 minutes. **Q: Can this be used to attch pigeon spikes to roof tiles?** A: No I wouldn't think so, it is very runny. Plus this was used to stick a guttering downpipe.
