Makita DTD170Z 18V Li-Ion LXT Brushless Impact Driver - Batteries and Charger Not Included

As a joiner a impact driver is probably my most used tool and after my old makita one eventually died after 6 years it was time to upgrade and I’m so happy I did! The variable speeds are a godsend for different situations, you can switch the torch on or off to save battery and it has a self tapper mode for metal work. The power and speed is unmatched I’ve personally compared it on site to new ish dewalt and Milwaukee and this impact driver blows them out of the water out preforming them with ease. I’ve used it for around 7 months now and no signs of it slowing down, works as well as the day I bought it. 10/10 would reccommend to any professional.

Excellent product, avoid cheap imitation, worth the extra money

This impact driver is superb. The wide choice of settings enables suitable force for every job. I particularly like the Assist Mode which allows driving screws gently with increasing force when needed. It is very easy to control the rotation as the screw thread bites into the material. On the other end of the scale, 150mm screw bolts are no problem for this driver. One slight criticism is, when removing a screw, there is no subtle mode so it is easy to spoil a screw head with too much trigger pressure/bit speed. Even so, this is a superb impact driver and with a 5Ahr battery, it lasts for ages before you need to swap batteries.

Bought some railway sleepers, softwood, but 8"x4" and I bought some self cutting 10 inch hex head screws to bold them together to make planters. Using a ratchet, it took me about 15 minutes to do one bolt and it was really heavy going and I had about 15 to do. Bought an impact socket set for the DTD170Z and it made light work of it. It just powered through without breaking a sweat. Used for a number of DIY projects since and it is a superb impact driver. The only slight annoyance was that a better version was released very soon after and it was considerably cheaper.

A little bit heavier than my last machine. The battery surprised me the way it lasts much longer and with the different options modes brilliant

Best impact I have ever held in my hands, it is so small and light, great for those times you Are in a tight space or working above your head height. Also super powerful, before I used this impact I had never broken a drill bit, now I have broken about 4 in a week, but maybe that’s down to human error.

Small, lightweight and very powerful. Well worth the extra few quid.

Depuis plusieurs années j'utilisais une petite visseuse à choc qui me suffisait je suis passé à ce matin hola énorme différence puissance plus rien ne lui résiste Levi's rentre comme dans du beurre Toutes les vis à tôle rentre sans casser à l'arrivée ce qui est très appréciable Le confort d'utilisation idéal grande vitesse petite vitesse réglage en quelques secondes certes elle est un peu chère Je n'utilise plus que ce modèle l'autonomie est impeccable éclairage parfait je recommande à tout le monde
